I must have a double. I live in chilly Winnipeg.
I'm actually from Wales UK but moved to Canada 2 years ago exactly the date of my half marathon. What a way to celebrate eh?!
Well I was about to post my congratulations because you look fantastic and then I saw you are a fellow Welsh girl so that made me want to post even more
You look great and sounds like we have/had similar goals. I am trying to lose a bit more I think but am using running as my motivation. As someone who has had a bit of a belly all my life I am really hoping that running will eventually help my abs look as good as yours
Best of luck on the run tomorrow or should I say "Pob lwc" and it'll be llongyfarchiadau after the race!!! Sorry had to throw in my limited Welsh language there, not often I get the opportunity!!

I just want to say a thank you to everyone that wished me luch for my half marathon yesterday. It went really well and I loved every minute of it despite the snow.
My next goal is to run a whole marathon perhaps in July.
Flux good luck to you for your half. How did the 8k race go?
Rachie: where abouts in Wales are you? I was born and raised in Cardiff (actually went to a welsh school, so 'diolch' for your well wishes)

Hi Canadacat! Congratulations on completing the half marathon - especially if there was snow! I am from a place near Cardiff actually! A small village just outside Caerphilly

Well guys I haven't been on here for a long time but thought I would update with how things are going.
I'm down to 154lbs, I still have 10lbs to go but I WILL get there. I have managed to keep the weight off, not by strict dieting but continually exercising. I find that if I 'diet' I beat myself up too much on the days that I fail.
Sorry about the bra-I don't have a bikini anymore.

WOW! You look awesome. You are such an inspiration for me. I have just started running about a few months ago and I have been getting frustrated lately because I haven't been losing much weight. After seeing your pics, I am motivated again!

Thank you so much guys. I feel as though it isn't much judging by the amazing effort of others! If I had the discipline I would diet too. Having said that...I have tried diets in the past and have put the weight back on in a matter of months, even weeks. I find as though I am keeping the weight off better by not fixating on 'diets'.
Keep running, I find it easier to log my runs... I struggled on a 16k run once, I got so mad at myself until I went back and re-read my log for the first run of my life. (I couldn't even run to the end of my road!) I so regained my motivation.
Thank you for putting the pics side by side.

Wow- you look awesome!! Funny that you didn't notice the abs- it's amazing what shows up in a picture that you don't notice in a mirror. Great job! And yes, it's just as much of a struggle to lose when you're only about 20 lbs from your goal. You really need to work HARD for those few pounds (I'm in the same situation, but only about halfway done.)
