Hi there all, I'm new here, and would love to join a challange, but am at a loss. I noticed some of them you had state that you wanted to join before a certin date and I have missed that date, as I have only joined the forums today.

Is there one that is going on, or about to start that I can join?

Pedometer Buddies, Road Trip Challenge, and 10,000 Challenge are ongoing walking challenges. (Although Road Trip gives credit for stuff other than walking, I think.)

January 2 pounds a week challenge is open to anyone, even if you join in mid-month.

New Year's to Valentine's has the starting weight weigh-in tomorrow, and as far as I know is taking new people. (The initial post makes it look like it isn't, but since it's not going to be team-based or competitive, I think it really is open.)

75 pounds in 2008 is open.

Daily Exercise Challenge is ongoing.
Your Very Own Birthday Challenge is ongoing.

The only one that closed recently is the Biggest Loser one, and you could "play along at home" if you wanted. Too hard-core for me!

So there are lots of challenges you could do. And come February, there are likely to be lots more. You're in this for the long haul, right? What's a couple of weeks in the long term?

Oh, I forgot one. The Going to be HOTTIES in 2008 (in the Club directory, not in Challenges).

If you're still around in mid to late February (and I hope you are), I'll be doing another challenge that is loosely based on the Amazing Race that you can join. I haven't got all the details worked out yet, but it should be lots of fun--and very competitive.

Seriously?! I *loooooove* the Amazing Race. We play along at home - "Yeah, I'd do that Roadblock - you've already done a bunch of them" and "Noooo! We need to go dig for gold, because no one would give me points for dancing!"

I'll be almost at goal by then, though. Or maybe not, depending on how fast the last bit goes. I will not stop losing now so as to have more to lose then. That would be a very bad idea...

Haha! I love that show, too. MsGhettobooty and I are going to audition for that show once we reach our goal weights--or get really close..lol.

Darn that I missed the BL one though, that sounds like a fun one. We are just finishing up one at another forum I post on, it was a blast!
