Rep Power: 9 | | | Pre-New Years Resolution Challange This is for people looking to take off more from this date Setp. 17, 2008 through to Jan 1, 2009 than they have the previous few months before.
Meaning, people just starting, those with a slow going, or people looking to make a fresh start.
The challange is to loose 10% of your body weight.
Its a tough goal, and if you'd like to start from your weight at Sept 1, we can count it.
I'll make a little gif thingy for everyone who makes the cut.
There will be a weigh in every friday starting this friday 9/19.
Now, obviously... thanksgiving and christmas are in there.
10% weight loss when there are two days people HAVE to eat and then a week of leftovers each time?
I goto my parents and I dont eat leftovers. I'm going to control what I eat, but not starve myself. I also plan to take 3 tastes of whatever desert my mom is eating. I've heard after 3 bites your just eating and the enjoyment of the taste is gone. Is it true? Probably not, but I'll believe it.
Who's with me?
There will be a continuing challange after this to get to goal weight by jan 1, 2010. So if you don't make the first one, maybe the second? Just sign below and start posting! |

Rep Power: 18 | | | I'm in! But 10% is slightly more than I would like to lose by then, but I can at least base off that and I will only weigh once a month... weighing frequently is detrimental to my progress. |

Rep Power: 33 | | I'm in as well. 10% for me is 35 lbs, which is a lot, so I might not quite make it, but at least I can try to get as close to it as possible!
My starting weight on September 1st was 342.2 lbs, so my 10% goal would be 34.2 lbs, which would put me at 307.9. Possible? We'll see....
09/01 - 342.2 lbs
09/19 - 331.6 lbs
09/26 - 327.9 lbs
10/03 - 323.0 lbs
10/10 - 320.8 lbs
10/17 - 319.0 lbs
10/24 - 314.0 lbs
10/31 - 312.4 lbs
11/07 - 309.6 lbs
11/14 - 304.6 lbs - Challenge completed!!
11/21 - 303.8 lbs
11/28 - 299.8 lbs Weight loss so far: 42.4 lbs ( ~14.1 %)

Rep Power: 0 | | I'm here. Two days late but better late than never.
I'm not a math whiz but in my head I believe 10% would be 19 lbs. That would put me at 166 lbs.
Doable for sure! I will start today on this goal. Thanks for posting this challenge.
09.19 : 185 lbs. |

Rep Power: 12 | | My goal is to get under 200lbs by then, and I weighed in at 228.4 this morning so 10% of that would be a shade less than what I have to lose to get there but it's still a good goal. Count me in!
9/19: 228.4 |

Rep Power: 9 | | I thought this died cause no one posted after a week =/
I'm way behind.
I know on 10/31 I was 238 on my Doctor's scale.
yuck.
I goto Doctors again 11/26 for some pre-surgery stuff so I'll have another weight then.
I'm off the scale at home. I plan to get some measuring tape this weekend and go by that and weekly pictures. If I can't tell any loss Ill check the scale at the gym so its more accurate and close to my doctor's scale, but I prefer not to really know.
Sorry to make a challange I couldn't stick to =P I prefer to see big drops in weight over long periods over small drops over small periods. so yea

Rep Power: 33 | | But....but.....I updated my post every week....
Anyway, pre-surgery? That doesn't sound good, hope it's nothing too serious?? *gulp*
Nobody said we had to weigh in weekly, right? So maybe monthly will work for you, or you could post measurements instead....whatever floats your boat I guess! | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
