I had a good day today, exercise and eating wise. I should have a deficit of about 500 calories. I actually worked out twice. I swam and stretched a lot at lunch and then I did kickboxing from 5:30 to 6:30.

Omega, have you ever done any resistance training at all? You sound like you have the cardio mastered, to be able to do that much is very impressive. I don't know anything about slimming world. It is obviously a good program for you but a light resistance program could help you tremendously in ways you never imagined. You will need good muscle and muscle strength for the rest of your life and if anything it usually makes women look lean and healthy, not big and bulky. I'm sure you know this, I was just curious if you were at that point yet. Also, you can even get away with eating a tad more and even gaining a few pounds while actually losing inches. I've seen it at our local gym and my wife is a perfect example also. Maybe just another option to keep in the back of your mind if you ever get burnt out or feel like making a change. I like changing things up. Keeps me interested.

Hello Korrie,

I am pretty new to all this stuff. It can be very overwhelming at times for me. Right now I am going through some things and for the past three weeks, I've noticed my running becoming slower and slower, and that I've been getting out less and less, and that is most likely why my weight has pittered off. I am also bummed that I will never be the shape I once was due to getting older and growing hips! So now I have to accept that, which is difficult for me to do at times.

My eating has been whack.

I've lost weight so I guess that's a good thing. One of my aims here. < oh look IT agrees with me. Looks like a lil m&m with eyes.

I can't say that I've even heard of that book. The only books I have here that are close to diet/workout books are Reader's Digest "Foods That Heal, Food's That Harm", oh maybe I do have some workout books, Vogue Beauty, and Bobbi Brown's Living Beauty.

I think this is the time for me to step out and get some Professional Help because I've come to that stage, where those last pounds aren't budging and I SHOULD (no matter how much I resist) be doing some strength & resistance training. *weights* <And those two aren't things I know how to do on my own.

For the most part I need lots of these , right now.

Red face

Omega can you post what an average week of food looks like for you please? I am also curious as to where every day public can purchase WW foods? Just for the lower calorie foods, such as their 49 cals piece of breads...Or is that only for members?

When you got down to those last few pounds, were they stubborn as ever? Or did they just come off the same as all the other weight did?

What is PCOS? Thanks

Hello everyone! Well I would love to join Relly's support thread, what an awesome idea . My goals are to eat more like some of the successful people on our forum such as Omega. It will be HARD to stomach a bunch of veggies and fruits cuz I've never been much into them, but I know how much better I will feel and hopefully this will inhibit the insulin hormone rise, which in turn inhibits fat burning. I just have to keep figuring out how to get off of this plateau, and this is my new thing, starting semi today and full on tomorrow. I read this ebook yesterday and will follow that specific diet, which ends up being a variation of Omega's diet. I already did my shopping, bought a bunch of fresh, organic mostly fruits and veggies, some raw unsalted nuts, and raw almond butter. I just ate the yummy almond butter on an apple. And also encompasses a lot of raw foods like Alta, who was so successful shedding fat. The plan is also to try to do some HIIT rather than stead state cardio to see if that will kick in some fat burning? Lord knows everything I've tried has failed to work so far, so will incorporate this and see. Best to everyone .

Omega, you are certainly a hard worker and have earned it! I think you totally have what it takes to keep it off.

I had another great day yesterday, eating and working out anyways. I did upper body, a little bit of running, eliptical and swimming and lots of stretching again.

I weighed 197.0 this morning so that is 3 lbs in 2 days. LOL I wish it would continue for another 10 lbs or so but I know better.

I really haven't been around lately, but Relly so wonderfully invited me to join, so I would like to if its not too late.

I have been very tired lately because my part time job has turned into a full time job, not to mention the commitments I already have 2-3 days/nights a week. I need to focus a bit more than I have been.

There are a lot of things I need to work on, but for week 1, here are my goals:
-less/NO fast food.
-More veggies/fruits instead of chips
-No ice cream
-Going to the Gym when I have free time.
-Snack Less

Week 1 (monday's) starting weight: 208 pounds.

Hey all!

I'm going to come join in here as well... I really need to get myself motivated again. The past 2-3 weeks have been a bit scary, reverting back to old ways, trying to get control, losing it, trying again, screwing it up, and now I have decided to just start with teensy tiny things, one thing a week, to change my life to what I want to live.

WEEK 1:

Wake up at 6:30 am
Do body weight exercises on my mat

THAT IS IT. I did this Monday through to Thursday already, and plan to keep it up all week (including the weekend).

Next week I will pick one other small thing to focus on. I think it will be pre-preparing lunch for work, as I have been really lazy lately!

I hope you all are doing well with your goals today!

I think this is a great way to do it...add one new thing a week and are you gonna continue on with the things from the previous weeks as well?

Yep, that is the idea.

And that's why it's so important I don't add more than a TINY thing each week which takes little effort. I have ALWAYS been too hard on myself, all or nothing, you know the type (we're on a weightloss forum, hehe)

So that is why I want to "install" these new habits one at a time, slowly building up and always improving myself. I do not see an end point to any of these little things per week, and obviously, if goals change, I'll change my habits to match them. But the idea is that if I want to start running in the morning, I already have that "habit" of waking early and exercising installed.

Ugh, today I'm talking so much and really don't care to go back to edit for clarity, i hope that made sense!
