Rep Power: 0 | | | I'm in 100% and will give it my 110% best. Only thing I can't weigh in officially until the 31st, but my beginning weight we'll say is that from the 10th...200.1! Update on Monday of how I "think" I'm doing...
Just one more quick question...are we posting updates to this thread or emailing everyone in the group or posting a new thread?.... |

as long as u are in the team, motivating others and urself - weight is for urself to measure to see how u have done. But definately we will like to know if u lost any inches or have made any progress.
At the moment it seems everyone is posting here about their progress, so i guess that would be it.
My progress so far:
1)i have been walking atleast 35 mins a day- its my third day
2)eating breakfast as someone told me that if i skip breakfast, it means i am slowing my metabolism
3)i cut down my lunch but take a smallllll snack- one hot dog or one cookie with tea during supper
4)eating dinner as usual but using small portion of rice or one tortilla
so far------ no progress, not even one pound lets see how it goes. |

Rep Power: 0 | | We were into a healthy store a few days ago with all kinds of nutrition, information, books, pills (skipped THAT aisle) and such, and the woman was asking us about our diets...when we mentioned hot dogs, she near well dropped to the floor. She told us to CUT OUT the hot dogs....lots of fat or something. Now, I'm LOVE hot dogs, so I kinda stopped paying attention after she told us to cut them out. Don't know if that is an option for you... |

Rep Power: 0 | | wow, you ladies are doing much better at posting than I am. I have been doing good eating though. For the past 2 days I have had no slip ups, very good for me. I cant say that it took much effort though as the last 2 days I have hardley had time to think about eating. I want to keep up the motivation though. I am going to the beach in September, and want to feel comfortable walking around in a swimsuit! How great would it be to be able to walk around in a swimsuit and not worry about what others think! I cant wait. Right now that is a huge part of my motivations. Plus I think about why I let myself get to the weight I am now, and it was really just laziness. Eating that extra food all those years didny make me any happier, it did nothing for me except build up as fat over time and make me feel worse about myself. I want to be the real me. I just think that if I can loose the weight, I will get my selfesteem back and feel better about myself. that is what I am pushing for everyday! Reading your posts also motivates me, so keep up the good work.
myFirstOne - great job on eating breakfast, that meal is really hard for me too because Im usually not hungry in the morning. Do you think its because I eat too much for dinner? I usually eat half my daily calories at dinner, mostly because I dont have time to eat during the day. Is this really unhealthy? |

Rep Power: 0 | | i see, i had no idea hot dogs were fattening, i just saw the packet stating each hot dog is 80 calories.... anyways i am not a big hot dog fan, i can leave it but GOsh how many things shall i leave!! God, why did u make all the tasty food so fattening.
Anyways, Ella83, eating full stomach dinner increases the most weight. it is said to have the most breakfast, little lunch and little dinner.... but dont go to sleep empty stomach as its not good for ur skin. But when we eat full stomach dinner and go tosleep,we are giving lots of calories to our body, to store as we arent moving or working. At breakfast, our body has used all the calories that it needs and needs more calories. if we go empty stomach at breakfast, the metabolism slows down and the next time we eat, the body is in starvation mode for well above 12 hours( 12 hours at night and then more hours if we skip breakfast), therefore instead of using the food the body quickly stores it as fat as its deprived for so long without food.
Anyways, i am sick of my body, dont feel like making my hair or even dressing up when i see myself so fat. I need to lose this weight to feel nice about myself.
A nice motivation point for all girls:
1) when u get slim, go for clothes shopping! ull love it!imagine all the clothes u can fit in and look beautiful. i am saving my money and losing my calories for this beautiful reason
2) have a hair makeover , as with a slimmer face, a nice hair cut would look awesome.
nice motivation... just imagine urself slimmer |

Count me in.
I lost a few pounds since July 1.
Last year I lost 20 lbs and have kept it off.
I have a bit of weight to lose this year ... 25 pounds more to be exact.
I count my calories each day and list my diet plan every morning.
I look in the fridge and freezer and figure out what I want to eat for the entire day.
Then I calculate the calories with this free site (caloriescount.org).
It really helps.
I am eating 1300 to 1500 calories per day.
This is a figure that does not cause me to get super hungry or weak.
Best of all, the weight comes slowly off.
(I am not in a big rush to lose weight, but if it all came off overnight, I would not complain.)
Like all of us here, I am looking forward to wearing the next smaller clothing size.
I have a closet full of clothes, still too small to get into.
I feel if I lose a little weight slowly and keep the 25 lbs off for a few months, then it will stay off.
Next summer I will again start a new diet. I have more to lose next year..
I look forward to sharing ideas with you.

Rep Power: 0 | | What day of the week do you want everyone to check their weight and/or progress?
The end of the week to me is Sunday. And the beginning of the week is Monday.
Should it be a Sunday or Monday...Or is a different day better? Trust yourself.

Rep Power: 0 | | Tomorrow morning is the big day! My goal this week was 2 lbs, which would put me at 154. I hope I will make it. I have not been the best about the food this week, so If I make my 2lbs, that will be huge motivation to do better next week. I want to start doing weights too. Its silly that I'm so excited about seeing how much I lose and making a new ticker! |

Rep Power: 0 | | I do hope you lose that 2 lbs. And I sure hope I lost 2 lbs also.
We'll see tomorrow!
Have a great day! We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean.
But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.

Rep Power: 0 | | Ella83...how'd ya do with those 2 pounds?
I can't officially weigh in today...I'm still on holidays... ; however, this past week has been good. The only day I didn't get outside to run around or walk was yesterday only because by the time I had the chance to go, it was pouring down rain. I'm actually surprised we didn't have thunder and lightening! Anyways, I've been drinkings pools of water and my food choices have been good...the only thing, I will admit, we went to see Pirates of the Carribean Saturday night and we got a large popcorn between us. I haven't been munching throughout the days either...I've been sticking pretty much to breakfast, lunch, and supper. My clothes seem to be fitting a little bit better around the waist (not so much around the bum area though), and I seem to be more energetic and happier.
How is everyone else doing? |
