Thanks for the tidbit on the hoola hoop! Will pick one up the next time I see one. So far this week, I've been good...only time will tell though.

I will weigh myself tomorrow and see how much I lost this week.
Probably haven't lost much, because I had 2 days when I ate too many calories.
Oh, Well...there is always next week.
Best of luck to all of you!

I like refried beans.
That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time.
You don't have to fry them again after all.

How did everyone do this week? I ended up losing 2.5 lbs, I think I actually lost part of that last week but hey I'll take it. I love watching the ticker go down! Yes I am easily amused. I guess it doesnt really seem like I have been doing much different, but I have been eating a little bit better, I think that must help. I actually feel like I dont eat as much when I am bored, which is great because I think that was mu biggest problem. Well how is everyone else doing? I have been bad at posting throughout the week, I'll try to get better at it this week. best of luck with the weigh in!

WOW ELLA83,
That is really great!
I lost 1 pound again. I have 21 more to go.
Looks like it might 21 more weeks at the rate I am going!
But that's a lot better than gaining 21 lbs. LOL

And Kaitie:
"Anyway. Bingo, have you tried inviting your friends to your house for dinner
...this way you can control the menu! "

I have invited my friends for dinner at my house, but they never invite me for dinner to theirs.
They do invite me over for dessert and coffee, however, but that's it.
So I feel I better not go all out with a dinner anymore. They are thin, so they watch their calories.
But when I had my dinners they really ate a lot.

I've been on a constant diet for the last two decades.
I've lost a total of 789 pounds.
By all accounts, I should be hanging from a charm bracelet.

Congratulations Tornado! You are well on you way to a skinnier you.
(Wish I would have lost 5 lbs too.)

I just clipped 2 articles from a current magazine.
One is a diet guaranteed to drop 5 pounds off my body in a weekend.
The other is a recipe for a 6 minute pecan pie.

Okay, I weighed in this morning and lost 4 more lbs. I am getting kind of scared that I am losing too quickly though. Im not starving myself though and I have been working out. Is this really bad?

One more pound lost this week!
And I can wear 3 of my old blouses. YAAAY!
And I am feeling better too.
I hope to shrink down to the next smaller size by The Holidays.
(And lose another pound by next Monday!)
Hope all of you are losers too. LOL

ELLA'S really on a roll! ... CONGRATULATIONS ELLA!!

You probably are retaining water.
When I retain water I either eat asparagus or a big slice of watermelon.
Both are diuretics, and there is no problem eating either one.
They are much healthier than taking water pills.
Even Gatorade Endurance seems to help.

Raw pumpkin seeds stop carbohydrate cravings

I keep forgetting to tell all of you.
I discovered that raw pumpkin seeds stop carbohydrate cravings.

All I do is eat 3 tablespoons raw seeds and the carbohydrate cravings are gone the next day.
They take 24 hours to work.
And the cravings disappear for about 3-4 days, then I eat more.
It really helps with my dieting.

I buy the raw pumpkin seeds at the health food stores.
They have no shells and are not cooked.
They have no salt or flavorings.
I pay from $3 -$5 per pound, depends on the store.
And a pound will last me over a month.

I get a lot of energy from them too, my hair has grown in really thick and I am no longer sleepy in the afternoon.
So they help with a lot of things other than cravings.
Sunflower seed won't work, neither do other seeds they sell.

I bought a talking refrigerator that said "Oink" every time I opened the door.
It made me hungry for pork chops.

i am so depressed today ladies i have been trying my best cutting carbs and walking 35 mins a day ( normal paced walking- not real fast and not slow either) and i lost 2 pounds, but my weight keeps jumping back. i thought it was my thyroid acting a bit and had my blood test done. the doc told me my thyroid is fine with the thyroid pills ia m taking, i am real anaemic and thats all. i am taking iron tablets at the moment, but not losing weight is killing me. i am trying so hard, no thyroid problem and still the two pounds i lost keep jumping back up .
ill definately try the raw pumpkin seeds, but what else shall i do? i am so depressed

myFirstOne, the pumpkin seeds might help get rid of the depression. But it would take a couple of weeks, I think.
What gets rid of anemia is eating meat. Pumpkin seeds help a little with anemia also.
Pumpkin seeds are very high in zinc. Zinc helps with the hormone balance.

You might try Gatorade Endurance. It is real high in Potassium. There is such a thing as a potassium, hormone, electrolyte imbalance. Whether or not that leads to depression, I don't know.
Gatorade helps me a lot.
So if you are drinking soda, you might think of switching to Gatorade. It is a lot lower in calories.
And if you hold water, watermelon and asparagus are natural diuretics...no harm done by them. Water pills can make you sick.

I count my calories to lose weight. I try to keep the daily calorie count between 1500 and 1750 calories.
By eating just that many calories, I will lose only 1 lb a week, but that is O.K. by me...as long as I lose, I don't care how long it takes.
Here is the calorie counter I use:
