Rep Power: 267 | | | Feeling Unmotivated I just have to get this off my chest. I've been feeling so unmotivated lately guys!! I think it has to do with me just quitting smoking. I read online that quitting smoking can cause a person to feel very tired and a little depressed for the first two weeks. It's my 10th day smoke free, and I've never felt so tired. It's starting to butt heads with my exercise routines. I know this will pass once my body recovers from the damage I've done to it, but it's so harsh right now.
Another thing is I was doing so well with the weight loss, and now I seem stuck at 160. I'm not gaining but I'm not losing and it's starting to get to me.
I'm just feeling a little stressed out at the moment, and I hope the weight starts coming off again. I don't want to be stuck at 160 forever!!

Rep Power: 42481 | | | Awww, I know exactly how you feel. I quit smoking a few years back and my weight gets stuck too. For motivation...just remind yourself that lifestyle is a journey more than a destination, and you are on that journey. You have had a lot of success...getting your weight to 160...quitting smoking 10 days ago. That's fantastic.
Do you have an eating plan? Set things you will eat for your meals? Maybe you could do some menu planning, and get a sense of your caloric intake?
Exercise will really help you get energy. As bizarre as it sounds...no matter how lethargic we feel, if we exercise, we will get more energy. I experience this time and again, even when I'm suffering from insomnia.
Hang in there Tarrish. You are going to succeed.

Rep Power: 8 | | | Hang in there! I know it's hard, but you have tons of people here who can help you and motivate you. I just found this site yesterday and I already feel 100% better! I needed this kind of support, or I could never get motivated! I started my exercise program yesterday and I can't wait to hit the new gym at our fire house tonight! Congrats on quitting smoking! Your moving in the right direction! Don't let it stop you and don't give up!
