Rep Power: 7 | | | I'm in for a walking club. I live out in the country, on a little one lane road a mile from the main road. I walk from my house to the main road and back.
For a while, I was doing this in 40 minutes (20 minute mile) then I stopped walking for a couple of months over the winter and lost endurance. I picked it back up yesterday and today and I'm doing a 24 minute mile.
Walking is such good exercise, and it doesn't cost anything beyond the price of a decent pair of shoes.

It is my main form of exercise. I do quite a lot of walking every day and it really does make a difference to the effectiveness of my weightloss project.
As you say - it costs nothing except the price of a good pair of shoes. Unfortunately I keep wearing holes through my shoes! Still if I had paid for gym membership near here for the past 14 months I would have paid a fortune. And if I had then gone on the treadmill I would have worn out the shoes just the same.
Some more of my recent data (I record every step of the day so this is exercise walks plus steps incurred in day to day living).
