Wow, you are a walking MASTER! I bow to you

I walked my usual 2 miles yesterday in the rain. I didn't walk today, but I did spend four hours cleaning out one of my flower beds, planting some flowers and getting some blueberry bushes planted too. The flower bed was entirely overgrown with crab grass. It was a struggle to get it all cleared out. But it was enjoyable and sparkpeople's exercise tracker says I burned around 1100 calories, so no complaints from me except from my aching muscles

I'll get in a walk tomorrow though, since I don't have any more flowers I can plant right now

God Bless,
mik

I have to pick up my cousin from the bus stop from now on, so thats a .25 mile walk...but I walk about 3 miles around the blocks in my neighborhood after school, and about a 1.5 miles after dinner

so thats almost 5 miles a day

We definitely want lots of new members. The more the merrier!

Mik - you will be pleased that you did the planting instead of walking when the flowers come out. We normally plant vegetables - but I must admit that I neglected our vegetables a bit last summer (I only watered them once a day in the dry weather instead of twice) as I was too busy walking. I have told my husband that we are planting less vegetables this year.

I do walk quite a lot. I find that I need to in order to get a normal rate of weight loss. I am lucky in that I am not currently working so I am able to spend quite a long time walking every day. I found it quite surprising how far I could walk by just building my distance up a bit at a time.

More pedometer readings:

12/04/2008 25,960 steps, 10.03 miles
13/04/2008 29,182 steps, 11.28 miles
