Soli | Chef thats good to hear; Thought you might have really gotten hurt or ripped something.....................
Me.... everything has been going ok. My gym workouts have really suffered since my blood pressure has been dancing....... The wife freaked out the other day. I have using the calf raises and With my legs I can lift the whole stack which is I guess close to 500 pounds. Anyhow it leaves these huge bruise lines on my shoulders. It doesn't hurt, I guess it's just where the material from the cushion sits on my shoulders and bruises my skin...... I guess I'm just fragile lol..... |

Rep Power: 41 | | Jeremy thats such a waste of good elote...... June welcome
Well it was a good day today. About 1000 calories not counting dinner.
I went to the gym and did half an hour on the elliptical and then worked on my legs, lower back, and arms.......... so it was a pretty good workout. |

Rep Power: 6 | | Happy Monday everyone, hope you all had a great weekend. My wife is feeling a little better now, she is back at work. I haven't been exersizing much during the last week due to her health. I starting walking again this morning. During weigh in to day, I had lost another 2 pounds.
On a side note, I'm a guitarist, been playing on and off for awhile, I was contacted for a tryout for a Christian rock and blues band. I got the gig!!
If anyone want to check out my music I have a page Hbkolb's Home Page there are about 6 different projects on there, I play all styles.
Have a great day!!! |

Rep Power: 41 | | Hey howie...... congrats on the two pounds. I have always wanted to learn the guitar but it was always put on the back burner. I have always liked the electric and bass but I think I'll start on the acoustic......... |

Rep Power: 8 | | Hey...I am a guitarist too...not only being in the 300+ club. I just finished building a custom Telecaster (for a metal sound), and was actually looking at getting a Variax. I have a Flextone III and I am highly impressed with Line 6 Gear.
Here is a link to my music...I really dig your playing man...It's always nice to see big dudes rocking out. Fall Children - Free Music Downloads - MP3 Downloads - Download.com Music
Here is some pics.
I am the big guy of course...
Congrats on the two pounds!

You ask and I deliver...forearm workout. You don't need to buy their crap though, just drill through a wood or plastic pole...tie a knot w/ a rope...and tie it to the weight at the other end. It works great

Rep Power: 41 | | | Hey chef thanks for the tip..... Have you or any others had any problems with one side developing faster than the other. I'n my case I'm getting much better results with my right arm pertaining to my bicep and tricep. Is this just because I'm right handed and my right arm is doing more of the lifting? |

Rep Power: 8 | | Uneven development is natural buddy... It is actually more natural than even development.
The best way to fix this....is using one arm dumbells, and unilateral machine lifts.
Here is a good list of exercises you can try to even out:
BICEPS
One arm dumbbell preacher curls
Dumbbell concentration curls
One arm standing or seated dumbbell curls
Alternating dumbbell curls
One arm Cable curls
TRICEPS
One arm overhead tricep extension
One arm lying tricep extension
Alternating two dumbbell lying extensions
One arm cable pushdowns
Dumbbell Kickbacks
BACK
One arm dumbbell rows
One arm cable rows
One arm pulldowns
Hammer Strength isolateral row
Hammer strength isolateral pulldown
CHEST
One arm Dumbbell bench presses
One arm machine presses
One arm cable flyes
Hammer strength unilateral presses
Alternating dumbbell bench presses
SHOULDERS
One arm dumbbell press
Alternating dumbbell presses
One arm Lateral raises
One arm cable lateral raises
Hammer Strength Isolateral shoulder presses
If you are part of a big gym, they will have unilateral machines (aka each arm has it's own weight) This will probably be your best bet for controlled strength adjustment.
Hope it helps,

Soli | Thanks chef....... yea the gym has those machines as well as the free weights. I'll use more of those rather than the standard cable machines...... |
