Wow, congrats man, you give me motivation because you were bigger then me when you started and you lost all that.
Thanks alot and keep up the good work.
Hey trynagetskinny, welcome to the group. Thanks for the compliments and keep up the good work. It will start to come off for you. It has taken me 2 1/2 years to drop what I have dropped. So just keep in mind true weight loss is not overnight and just know that at the end we will be more healthy and will be more responsible in keeping off the weight after all of our hard work.
Well it was a great week, I am down the 5.6 pounds I put on over the previous two week weigh ins. Only leaves me 4.2 pounds to move into the 200 pound club.
Well I am down 4.2 pounds this week, putting me right at 300. It's been a long time since I have seen a 2 in front of my weight and I look forward to saying that first time that I was 2 something. (LOL)
Good Luck this week to everyone. Where has everyone gone?
Congrats on making it down to the 300! Way to go!!
I'm still miles away from that, but hopefully will get there one day. 331.6 today...maybe by Christmas I make it there. Last time I had a 2 in front of my weight must be....uhm....10 years ago now? How sad is that?

187lbs? WOW. That's amazing! You're doing really well, you should be very pleased. You'll see that 2 before you know it!
Congrats on making it down to the 300! Way to go!!

I'm trying to get under 200 by Christmas...we have about the same amount of weight to lose to change the first number on the scale. I can't remember the last time I was under 200 or when I wore a single-digit size. It was probably college...over 10 years ago. Yikes.
I'm back. I know most people probably don't know/remember me but thats okay I was only here for a few months. I slacked on myself and gained wait again...I was in the high 200s but now I'm higher than I was and am at 324.4 and this time I'm going to keep losing. I have no reason to why I quit I just did. But here I am again.
I started off right on 300lb (well technically 299.2lb), down to 213lb now. Been a long time but lifestyle has changed so much. I can see myself easily at my goal by the new year!!
Just joined the club. Have been on Adkins and thinking of the Abs Power Diet, has anyone tried it? Adkins seems very boring and hard for me to stay on for a long time. Lost 150 lbs on Adkins once and back on it again. My lowest weight was 264 on Adkins. Go to water excercise class three times a week for one hour workout.
Know I have to do something, in the low 300 lb range and at 64 better get with the program if I am going to see 70.
Well I'm starting off at 375 in the 300 club, but tomorrow I start the long road to one day be out! This place seems great and I look forward to updating my progress.
Welcome to all of the new members, this group is really great and encouraging when you need it. It's great to know that there are others out there in the same situation as you are.
Well I was down to 300, but have gained 1.8 pounds back over the last 2 weeks so I still have yet to get that 2 in front of my weight, but I feel good about this week. Wish me luck everyone and good luck to everyone this week on their weight loss.
On a personal note, I saw some guy last night that I use to bowl with and he was like you look great, then the next words out of his mouth were, "what did you have done" suggesting if I had gastric bypass or lapbad surgery. I kind of got offended, for the mere fact that I have done this the old fashion way HARD WORK. (Gym and Weight Watchers) He then proceeded to ask me if I had a lot of extra skin, now I only knew this guy from bowling not like we were great friends or that we even spoke but a few words a week. He then told me that he had gastric bypass and has lost 134 pounds, great for him. I guess I just find it offensive that all people who have had gastric bypass assume other people that have lost a good amount of weight have done the same thing. Well that is my rant, I am over it now just wanted to get some other peoples opinion on that. Should I have been so offended? (LOL)
It's like people can't fully believe that we have the power to transform our bodies without the aid of surgery. I have nothing against people that have taken that route, everybody needs to decide what is best for them.
Been flirting with sub 300 now for the better part of 4 weeks. Some old habits resurfaced a bit but I think I got that in check now so I have rededicated my focus for the next 2 months. When I first started this journey , my first goal was to be under 300 for XMas. On that goal , I will suceed.I have no doubt. I redid my goals and was targeting the end of September to be out of the 300 club. I'm looking back on the last month and think of it as a lost month. I didn't gain any weight but should have lost some.
Hope to see some familar faces in the 200+ club in the months to come.

I know just what you mean...and yes I think it is ok to feel offended. People like to assume that just because someone is over weight they dont "have it In them" to work hard or obtain a goal. When I mentioned something to a friend about going to the gym he straight laughed at me, saying that I dont even know what the inside of a gym looks like. Its just a reaility that people are going to doubt you have it in you...with 187lbs lost so far...i think you can deffinatly say you have it in yourself to meet any goal you set for yourself
I am in the same boat as the rest of you, 375lbs. Everybody here knows how we all feel. They have and still are feeling the pain of being fat. You can tell people until you are blue in the face how it is, but if you have never been there you will never understand. I hope that each and everyone one of you reach your goal weight. I am the only one that can take my life back from the fat monster. Love yea, fat bro
