is that you in your avatar, dont look obese or overly fat to me,it helps me to keep focused on losing weight by reading other peoples stories of inspiration, before and after photos,a difference on the scales, clothes fitting very well, people noticing and commenting, everything positive really,i reached a plateau last week where i couldnt lose anything for about 2 weeks and slightly went up on the scales, then a member on here mentioned the way to beat plateua is to eat low carbs for about 3 days, doing that now and have lost 4lbs since last week,a lot of it is water weight,my low carb secret is, a instone high protein pudding at 11 am to kickstart the fat burning with high protein and a whitefish with bread dinner, every other day i do calf exercises, nothing too hard, stay strong and positive, good luck. |

Matt | If I thought about my weight loss in terms of a single goal of losing 130 pounds I'd probably give up right now and order some pizza. lol.
I prefer to approach my weight loss by thinking about the many many goals I have planned for myself. I was able to identify over 30 separate goals one night when I took the time to type them all out, and I could probably come up with 30 more. They ranged from significant number goals (300, 250, 200, etc) to things like being able to zip up my old motorcycle jacket, being able to purchase pants at a normal store, being able to jog 2 miles non-stop, being able to wear certain sized clothing (3x, 2x, 1x, large, etc), starting and maintaining a cardio program, feeling comfortable going to out with friends... the list goes on and on bro.
What does losing the weight really mean to you? Chances are it means a thousand different things, and those things can be a thousand different goals. Take great pride in achieving each and every one of them and let each victory serve as motivation for the next.
That's my take on it anyway. |

I keep track of my goals/milestones on my blog (which is another tool that has helped me keep on track).
I'm just half a kilo (1.1 lbs) away from my half way goal/milestone |

As for me. I weighed just over 310 last time I checked and I'm making a big push to leave this damn club! lol (no offense :P)
I've been exercising almost daily and taking my workouts up a notch. Tomorrow I'm going on a very long walk/hike in a local park. Should burn up some major cals. Woot! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | 3-12-09 Well I was down 2.6 pounds this week, so I am back on track of losing weight hopefully I can keep this up. It's very fustrating when right at thanksgiving time I was down to 296, then went back up over the holidays and can not seem to lose the weight. So it felt good to lose 6.8 pounds in the last two weeks. |
