I'm Matt, new to the forums, and thought I'd stop in and say hello. I'm currently a pound or 2 south of 320 it seems, but I've lost ~130+ since 9/1/08. If all goes to plan (and I don't slack off too much on my upcoming honeymoon ), I'll be out of the club sometime before more 1 year weight loss anniversary
I posted a new thread above, but I guess I'm eligible to join in this thread, since I'm 380. I've lost about 15 so far. Check out my post above and give me advice if you've got any, thanks!

Congrats on your weight loss so far, Matt! That's freakin awesome. You've definitely got the determination, so I'm sure we'll be seeing you leave this club soon!

Congrats on the loss so far, man. Keep building on it. Haven't checked out your other thread, sorry, but good luck with whatever it was about

Just around 9 lbs (9.2 lbs to be more precise) to go before I'm out of the 300 club! Really looking forward to that Also, just under 5 lbs to go till I've lost 200 lbs. Hopefully it won't be too long now

hey FLG,
just wanted to say CONGRATS on the weightloss so far...200lbs? that's freakin amazing! all the best as you get out of the 300 club and into the prestigious 200club.
i'm at 313 and have pretty much stagnated between 313 and 316 for about 5 weeks now its very FRUSTRATING but i have to keep on fighting, getting out of the 300 club will be my first major milestone and i'm hoping i can do it before end of august. last time i was under 300 was about 7yrs ago SIGH!
Well done on the weight loss, for people who have 300 or more lbs to lose you have done amazingly well, keep on doing as well as you are and you will be at your goal before you know it!
I know it may sound small, but it really is a lb at a time and sometimes a lot more and before you know it your clothes fit better and above all you feel and look better than you did.
Take care and all the best, I'll be one of those cheering you on!

You can totally do this! You've already lost over 30 lbs! This is less than half of that! Stay confident, and do what you need to do
Last posted on 6/24 and I was 380. Have now dropped to 369. Realizing this can be a bumpy road, as last time I posted, I was frustrated because I hadn't lost anything in a week, and now I've lost 11 in just over a week. Moved into a new apartment a week ago and have really been taking advantage of the fitness center here. Also, no elevator here, so lots of stairs every day. Have been trying to eat more veggies and cut down on my sodium intake. Also, has anybody here tried EA Sports Active for the Wii? I highly recommend it for a surprisingly good workout in the comfort of your living room (kinda weird sweating all over your own carpet though).
I've been in this club for awhile now but I'm new to this site. I was 345 earlier this year but am down to 325 because of my cutting out soda and some junk food after I found out I have diabetes. My number 1 goal in life is to get out of the 300's ASAP even if it's 299lbs.
My 1st goal is to get to the obese weight I was at over a decade ago in high school 275lbs. Once I reach that I'll set a new goal. I bought a stationary bike but really want to join a gym but I'm scared I'll break the equipment.
I have a friend who weighed 300 lbs and lost 80 lbs in 5 months. He didn't use any supplements or anything. I'm not sure what that's worth to anyone, but the way he stayed focused was by envisioning how much easier things would eventually get for him (mobility and clothes-shopping, specifically).
I'd like to congratulate those who have lost weight and wish luck to those who have just started out!
I'm still stuck at 310 myself and need to get to 260-270 before the army will take me. Not sure if I ever mentioned that as being one of my main reasons before. But after around 2 months stuck at 310 I've decided to make a hard push for the 200s club! I plan to limit myself to 1,000 calories for a bit while I understand its not the healthiest choice Its usually the only way I can start the weight rolling again.
How unhealthy is my weight loss method? I usually limit myself to 1,000 for a week losing 7-10 pounds then I eat normal again 2,500 calories a day and I don't lose or gain weight back. Then after a while I drop to 1,000 calories again for a week then back to 2,500. I understand 1,000 is too low of a calorie intake but doesn't the benefit of losing the weight at least counter the risks?
I tried normal dieting just eating 2-2.5k a day and my weight don't budge and I'm determined to make it to 260 by November 10 pounds a month roughly.
Well, 2nd day of trying really hard and I'm down to 306 pounds, only 7 more to go and I'm in the 200s! I'm at the lowest weight I've been since I was about 10 but hitting the 200s is going to be a big milestone for me. Hopefully I can keep it up.

I'm 364 right now, but when I started dieting a bit more than a month ago I was in the 390s. I've been working out in the gym at my apartment complex all along and haven't had any problems. I have also worked out in a hotel gym while on vacation. Pretty much all treadmills and nautilus... I don't know how I'd do on an elliptical, but when I see other guys use elliptical machines they look so flamboyantly gay that I don't think I could ever bring myself to use one.

all the best dave! wow, that's a job well done, i'm still stuck around 315ish have been there for ages, can't wait to break through 310 then below 300, it's been too long.

congrats on the weightloss so far codon! seems your doing great...i actually laughed when i read your comment about the elliptical lol! i'd say at my gym the elliptical use is half and half between guys n girls so you shouldn't worry about it. i'm around 315 and have been using it for about 2months now and quite enjoy it. i'd recommend giving it a shot, it would make a good addition to any workout routine.
to everyone else hope your all doing great....the long journey continues but hopefully we're all getting there
Well after a week I have failed miserably in making my weight lossgoal and am sitting at 307 pounds (scale dropped down to 304.6 at one point). I had hoped to be down to at least 302-304. I ate around 1,000 calories a day and worked out 30-40 hours a day on average and still the scale barely budged, But I'll take what victory I can from this! At the start of the week It took me 10minuts and 54 seconds to jog a mile. But this morning I managed a mile in 9 minutes 58 seconds! Its not the goal I was working at but I'll take it none the less.
I'M OUT! As of a few minutes ago, I'm now 299.2 lbs (135.7 kgs). WOO HOO!
Good luck to everyone working on getting out. I started in the 500s and went through the 400s just to make it out of the 300s, so you guys can definitely do this!
