My endurance is coming up. not long ago I could only do about 4 minutes but last night I got to the point where I was almost running. Man that was a pretty good workout. Think I'm gonna take today off;I still feel drained.
I did my weigh in and I'm down two more pounds so down to 374. It's slowly coming back off..... | Great Job!!! |

Rep Power: 6 | | | I am feeling very poopy today, stomach isn't happy, and I have a headache, wish I could just go back to bed, but I am a "cog in the wheel of the machine of the man" so I'm here at work.
Yesterday I ate 35 of my 43 points, which is quite a bit better than I have been doing. I work up this morning back to where I was, temp gain is gone, woo hoo.
Now just to feel better................................ |

| sounds like you caught a good case of the crud. Do you think it could be because of not getting in enough food. I just ask because for awhile my calories were really low and I just felt like I had been beat down and my stomach stayed in knots and a huge headache. If it happens to be some kinda fit food wise try taking some mens multi vitamins and see if that helps after a few days......... |

I take a liquid multivitamin, B complex, and a liquid Glucosamin product so I should be good there. I think the culprit is probably my 18 month old!! Probably caught something from one of the kids at the sitters.
I feel good enough to go home and play some "City of Heroes" |

I am currently 360lbs, 25 years old, and lifting weights 6 times a week / doing hard sprint cardio 3x a week...
Sounds like I fit this club fairly well.
I was a fairly decent football player when I was a bit younger. After a knee injury; my life became less active, but my diet and appetite did not. So after years of playing too many VERY addictive video games (Everquest, World of Warcraft, City of Heroes), I have decided to snap out of it and change my life 100%.
I have cut the intake of diet soda (which I have always drunk) by 1/4...and have been putting down somewhere in the realm of 7 litres of water a day.
I feel great so far, and my body / energy levels are responding very well to the entire process.
Anyway, that's my story...and here I am.

Chef Solon | Welcome Chef, I though you died in that one episode of South Park but no matter. Great to see that you have taken up the cause and the great thing about your size is you get great results really fast.
Read this new study on diet drinks and it might help you break the habit the rest of the way. Diet, sugary sodas alike linked to heart disease factors - CNN.com
Oh, and with your size and football back ground you are probably pushing some pretty respectable numbers in the weight room. Good for you. |

Its great to have you here, sounds like your head is in the right place. I too played football and wrestled in High School until a knee injury. But I did just start playing City of Heroes (not gonna give that up quite yet)!!
I just started my weight training a couple of weeks ago and its gonna be a long process, at one point I was Bench Pressing over 300 pd, not now ha ha.
I'm hoping that some of my muscle mass I had will still be there after the weight comes off.
We look forward to hearing about your continued weight loss success. |

Rep Power: 8 | | Thanks for the welcome guys,
Yeah the gym is coming back to me quickly. I started out pushing 3x 10 of 165 on bench... my pecs seem to be the weakest muscle on the body at the moment. The one muscle that you don't have to use daily unless you try to, I guess. At one point I was repping 265, so hopefully that will come shooting back.
Leg press, squats, etc on the other hand is are different story...I have run out of room already on the leg press machine...doing over 600lbs on reps there these days.
My goal is to bulk up some muscle, and then switch over to maintaining muscle and pushing more hard cardio to start burning the fat. I just figured the whole process will be easier with more muscle on my body to start with.
I wish I still played City of Heroes, Hbkolb...it just seems that I tend to bury myself in games and ignore what I NEED to do. Maybe once this whole thing starts getting routine, I will find time.

Rep Power: 7 | | Anyone know why I can't get an avatar to work.
I have shrunk it down to 80x80 then took it from photobucket, no luck.
Then I took it from my saved pics, no luck.
Then I took one from a site and no luck.
I can't pm the mods for 3 more days. Any ideas? |

Rep Power: 41 | | Monte that great on the five pound loss. Chef I'm doing just the opposite. I'm doing mostly cardio with some weights just to tone up. I don't think I really want to get built. Thats just me; I have never wanted to be a huge mass of muscle lol. It's probably all the time at the gym that scares me. I'm still not the most comfortable in the gym, still feel as if all eyes are on. When I do use weights my chest muscles are non-existent lol. On the legs, I can max out the machines. I guess it's from carrying around all this weight.... Good luck Games I have cut my game time way down. I still like my hit man series. It relieves stress lol. I like military style games but never could really get into role playing games. In all fairness I never gave them much of a chance lol. I guess I like my shoot em ups. |
