i have a question

ok i gotta know if im overweight for my age+height, i dont know if i have to lose weight or just tone down. Im 18 years old, 6' foot to 6'1"ish and weigh 185 (down from 195 ) is that overweight or no? im not thin by any means :P but i dont wanna be skinny really, cuz guys shouldnt' really BE skinny imo, id like to be fit, with fair sized muscles (been doing lots of weight lifting). also if anyone knows a website with a chart that has a weight to height ratio (spelling), that'd help alot

Here's a link to a BMI(body mass index) calculator. Hope this helps!

thanks, that does help somewhat, but that doesn't take into account things like: muscle mass. I dont want to be skinny, im working towards toneing down, and bulking up . Thanks anyways though

You can get your body fat % taken at a gym, that's what my personal trainer did for me. He also let me know how much lean muscle mass i have. A doctor can help w/ body fat % too

are you male or female?? you can get your BF% measured at a local gym with a simple caliper test ... as a male, 185 is not a bad weight (hope not anyway, cuz that's where i'm at ) ... it might be a little heavy by "americans standards" for a lady, but it's not considered over weight, especially if you are somewhat muscular.
