Rep Power: 11261 | | | Any exercise is good exercise when it isn't a normal part of your daily routine. I like workout DVDs... especially Hip Hop Abs. I also love rollerblading and walking.
Sign up for fitday.com. It is free and it is a godsend. It counts your calories and the calories burned in your workouts. It helps you journal everything and keep yourself on track! I'm addicted to it now... lol!
I have no willpower either, so just find someone as support! Message me and I'll tell you to put down that cookie! Lol... make it fun. Workouts don't have to be torture and neither does eating healthy. Allow yourself to splurge once and a while, just don't make it habit.

Rep Power: 0 | | Great Advice Jessie!
Since you told me to start counting calories I've written down everything I've eaten today and recorded the calorie, fat, carbs, and proteins in it. I'm going to check out fitday.com! When I write down what I eat I think "Oh god, I ate all that??" lol
I will have to check out Hip Hop Abs, I love to dance! I'm at home for the summer (trying to find a job...) and we have a treadmill downstairs so I'll have to utilize that.
Thank you for being a huge support already!

Rep Power: 11261 | | | I'm at home for the summer trying to find a job too. My parents have a bike and a treadmill in the basement, but they aren't as fun as the DVD workouts or rollerblading. Yeah, writing down your foods really makes you take notice of what it is you are doing wrong. But you will be real surprised with how much food you can eat for your calorie amounts. As long as there is a 500 calorie deficit between your activities and your eating you will lose a pound a week.
Good luck!

Rep Power: 32856 | | | I've probably joined this group before and just forgot about it, but my name is Casey and I'm 21 years old. I recently gained weight due to some bad habits and medication, but I quit taking the medication (with doctor's supervision, no worries) and I'm exercising regularly and trying to eat a diet of mainly fruits and veggies with whole grains, protein, and skim milk thrown in. Good luck everyone!

Rep Power: 40217 | | | Welcome, y'all. There hasn't been much discussion here so...
What's your favourite movie you've seen this year?
Any big changes in your life this year?
How are you planning to celebrate once you reach your goal?

Rep Power: 32856 | | | My favorite movie I've seen this year is Rushmore...I know it's really old but my boyfriend had a VHS copy and we watched it together and I absolutely love it!
Big changes....I was diagnosed with depression in January, so I've had to change the way I think about myself and my tendency to overschedule/overcommit. I moved in with my boyfriend in May...that's been a big change but we are doing great together. I also turned 21 so I can drink legally! Wow....lots of stuff has changed!
Not sure how I'm gonna celebrate my goal yet....I want to say new clothes but I just got some new stuff and I really like it! Perhaps a spa trip or day trip somewhere.

Im Courtney a 26 (almost 27) year old mommy of 3.
We live in Okinawa Japan, even though we are from Napa, Ca. =) WE LOVE IT HERE!
I have a VERY strong love/hate relationship w/ the food here! I LOVE every bit of it, but ALL of the white rice is killin me!
Durring the summer I weighed in at 131, and since then gained 9 lbs =(
I am 5'5 and weighed in today at 139. I sware I have been STUCK here for WEEKS now!
Once my daughter gets over this stomach flu, we are back out to the track for walking and jogging (pushing a jogging stroller SUCKS!) and I am draggin the rest of my family out for hiking once a week (my older boys are in school, so once a week fits for us) on saturday morning we always get the boys on bikes, the baby in the stroller and dog on her leash and go for a family walk/jog!
I LOVE that my husband loves to work out w/ us, its VERY helpful!
ANYWAY, enough blabbing! nice to meet you all!

FAv movie this year has been Into The Wild. I LOVE that movie. Im such a new-aged hippy and I want to live like that! LOL
Big change has been moving to Japan! We have been here one year so far and need to quickly decide what to do in two years when we leave this wonderful island. We might go to tokyo, spain or hawaii for 4 years, then back home to Napa, Ca =)
How to celebrate, once I get to my goal weight I want to go out to some bars and clubs in a sexy outfit and show off a little =)
