Once upon a time I used to work out to those. And yeah, it seems like a great start. The time may come that they're too easy, but if that happens you can always jump a little more/higher or something similar.

One other thing to mention, I read somewhere that if you do the same video, your body gets used to it in about four weeks, so you should change it out then. I think that came from Fitness, but it might have been Shape or WW. I'm addicted to work out/weight loss magazines.

As for workout DVDs in general, I have ummm... a whole, whole lot. Like 20 and they range from crazy to boring to fun. If you want to know anything else about 'em, let me know!

Nice thing here, it rarely snows in the valley, but is only about an hour to the mountain. So we can play in it all we want without having to drive or shovel.

I was thinking, maybe Kev is down under. It is summer there. That would explain the heat for him this time of year.

Tabbi....I get it. 20 below isn't walking weather! As long as you are getting to the gym!

Keep up the great work and have a great weekend everyone!
Hey you live in Oregon? That's so cool, I do too! What part, if you don't mind me asking??

p.s I love Oregon!!

Yeah, I got quite a bit too. I got Tae Boe Bootcamp, The Biggest Loser, Jillian's Beginners Frontside and Backside Circut Training, Richard Simmons, and Carmen Electras Aerobic Striptease. Haha.. So, I got plent of them to change it up with so that muscle memory doesn't set in to quickly. Thanks for letting me know it takes about 4 weeks to set in. I didn't know that.

Lady Umbra CONGRATS!!! I did the same last week!! Yay!!!!!!!

Veronandez, you reminded me of a questions. I have one of those aerobic stripteases, but I've never done it. I heard it wasn't really hard and I figured I didn't need to embarrass myself for nothing. Does anyone here have an opinion of the DVDs?

I know this is soooo late, but welcome Snookums!! Please forgive my lateness...I've been really out of it lately and have not been able to get on...and just as i think i am getting better BAM lol I am again. I always seem to come when there is good news tho. I am so happy that you could join us and I know that u will be out of the 200's so soon. Everyone in this group does so well! Again welcome

WOoooooooooooooooooooooooooo Ladyumbra YOU DID IT!!! out of the 240s for good! Congratulations!! I knew you could do it!!

Veronica, I'll skip on over to your diary after this post if you don'y mind Would love to see what's going on there

Spartacus, I have never done the striptease thing, but I have done bellydancing LOTS OF FUn and a great workout. I think most people are a bit awkward when trying a new routine, but you'll get the hang of it soon enough. When I was younger I was quite acrobatic with my dancing...I used to even dance balancing on the upper part of my arms, shoulders and neck lol I think I would break my neck if I tried that now with this much weight on...but once I come down a few pounds I think I'll give it another go

A big HELLO to Nataliejo and Juliana Rose...see you all soon!

Awesome! That's so cool that you lost so much, maybe even a pound more since you weighed yourself while being full. Keep on keeping it on (or in this case off) 8 more pounds to go then you will be under 200! Great Job!

hugs to everyone who needs it today and for all who managed to resist whatever temptations you had today. I've been doing pretty okay diet-wise I am giving myself one more week to hit the scale...although I'd really like to kick it sometimes How's everyone today?

I've been doing pretty terrible on my diet/workout lately. My being sick really got me thrown off my game. I can barely walk up the stairs quickly without my lungs hurting still. I think I just need to start slowly getting back into working out. I just feel crappy because I do SO great for a while and then something inevitably ruins it. I feel like I'm never going to actually lose weight.

Cameraobscura i am sorry to hear that you are not feeling 100% yet, I hope you feel better soon. I know how difficult it is, but don't worry, you will lose weight. Just take it easy and allow yourself to recover, don't push yourself too hard. You will be better soon and losing weight in no time

KEVIIIIIIII I hope you have fun today....me too I like go carts, they remind me of how i drive everyday (just kidding.....or am i )

Hi Everyone!!!

Congrats to everyone who has been able to achieve a small victory this week whether it was by losing weight or making a good choice when you really wanted to be bad...every little step in the right direction counts!

I just ended the week from hell at work, all I wanted to do was eat chocolate 24/7...somehow I managed to stay mostly on track (which is hard when you are working unwil 11:30 pm each evening) so that was a victory for me. My usual MO is to just say f*ck it and go completely off the wagon. I guess after a year some of these changes I made finally stuck.

I got on the scale the other day on a whim and it was 191.2...which I thought was a fluke or the result of a broken scale...so I hopped back up there the next morning and it was 192. 4 so I guess I really did lose some more

That makes the total come to 72...I can't believe that I have actually made an entire person (a small one, albeit, but a person nonetheless) disappear. Crazy.

Whenever it gets hard, try to remember all of the victories you have achieved along the way and how badly you don't want to go back

I hope everyone is having a great weekend...
