Rep Power: 1319 | | To be honest, my interim reward is getting into the clothes in the back of my closet. I have a lot...a lot of clothes that are of a smaller size. I will have a huge wardrobe once I get to that size. I'm looking forward to that. Then I will look forward to those clothes getting too big! Quote:

Congrats to everyone who has lost weight or has committed to losing weight!!! It is a huge thing to commit to making a change in your life and sticking to it...
I hope that when I reach Onederland that I can still hang w/you guys, this seems like a great place to be It is a huge thing to try to lose anywhere in the neighborhood of 100 pounds and support is definitely a crucial thing.
So for everyone who has created an interim goal (mine being getting below 200) are you planning on rewarding yourself? What are you going to do for yourselves at the end?
I have an idea of what my end reward may be but I am struggling w/what my interim goal will be... |

The problem with the 16s and 14s are that they are from when I was in high school back in the early 90's...so...style is an issue
I have been so happy to outgrow all of my larger clothes but this weight loss thing is an expensive proposition! Not that I am ungrateful for the opportunity, I am just running out of money!!
Anyway, I am still unsure what I am going to do for myself, but 200 is coming fast so I guess I need to make up my mind...
I think my profile says it but I am from South Jersey, it is currently 27 degrees and VERY cold...

Rep Power: 3940 | | I hail from south Florda, USA. I like to think of myself as water skiing on alligators or parasailing on hurricane force winds. WOoooooooooooooooo Yeah baybeee (Austin Powers style) Summerbaby thanks for telling me more about yoga, I think I'll look into it...sorry to hear about your little tummy not feeling well! Stomach or intestinal pains is THE WORST! Glad to know that you are better now though. And you know what, you are absolutely correct, you do look every bit of your 35 years!
Welcome Tabbigirl, you doll you Anyone that uses as much emoticons as I do is cool with me Glad you joined us and you most definitely belong here! Too cool we have the same final weight goal B-) well I don't know if you read my earlier posts, but doc recommends 115 so I'll see what i think at 135. My current "short term" goal is 198...ahhhh to be in Onederland. I figure 198 is safe...being 2 pounds away from 200. Quote:

When I read this I almost died laughing lol. They block forums at my work, so when I am there I cannot post, but man if i could... Ali.smedley Of course you can still hang when you are in Onederland!! When you joined yesterday I was thinking of running a poll amongst ourselves to change the name of the thread a little. Something like "New Year, New Thread for those who weigh or started at 200lbs/90Kg Plus" Ahdunno, What does everyone think...do you have any other suggestions? Should we just leave it as it is? When we go under 200 I think the title of the thread should mirror our achievements and be inclusive of our success. I think it would be cool!
So far as rewards...well...I know they say one should not set food goals, but to inspire me to stay on track I am thinking of going to one of my favorite restaurants for every 15 pounds I lose...Grand Lux Cafe or something...OMG their cafe macchiato is to LIVE for!! I am also planning on rewarding myself with as much shoes, clothes, and purses as I possibly can along the way. Not to mention make-up; I am not so much of a make-up person but i like lip gloss and occasionally I will do my eyes. Oh everyone...If anyone likes glossy lipstick I could not recommend more pop mode lip glass from MAC make up!! It looks good on everyone I have recommended it to so far! Its a beautiful medium pink color and so hot. It's amazing how one color can fit so many different people.
We have similar sizes in our closets, Ali.smedley!! Mine runs from 24 to 11/12...and that 11/12 is over a decade old. OMG if I reach 198 by the end of the year I will be 10 dress sizes smaller!
Welcome Carthonn!! I can taste it with you! Tastes like a Mediterranean salad with a little couscous and fresh bottled water Or maybe that's just what I've been craving all day :P I can't wait until you make it!! Potnoodle you've been on my mind today A LOT. How are you making out with the whippets lol. Hope to hear from you again soon.
Have a great day everyone!! We can stick with it today and tomorrow I am so happy to have met all of you. You are all so great!

Rep Power: 8452 | | Hey Everyone!! Hello Everyone!!!
My name is Natalie jo ... and I weigh 286.6 according to the scale this morning, which I am happy about. Broke 291 four weeks ago...and went down to 288.8, but this morning I weighed 286.6 and hopefully will stay there for now and not float up to the higher numbers, but as I know ...sometimes we float back up and come back down, but I will end up at 286.6 pounds. I hope I am able to reach 285 or 284.8 by Valentines Day. I am on the VDAY challenge ...
but its nice to know I am not alone!! I have been trying to find people over two hundred, and all
I have seen is people below two hundred. So happy to see I am not the only one!!
Looking forward to chat ..
always
Natalie jo

Rep Power: 0 | | Hello everyone - I'm new to the forum and thought I would join this group. My husband and I are fairly newly married and trying to get pregnant. My doctor thinks my weight is why I am having crazy long cycles and not ovulating so I have some serious motivation to get moving and lose some weight!!

Rep Power: 20830 | | | Hey everyone Hey all sorry i have been gone again. still dealing with computer problems and it does suck.
Anyways.. my first night of being a college student again was last night. It was a very boring night but met some interesting classmates and all that jazz. I'm just glad that i didn't get a bunch of crazy cravings during it. But i did have a not so good dinner and that's cause i forgot to make something to eat before going to school cause i was so nervous about how my 3.5 year old would take mommy going back to school and him being left with daddy who he hasn't been left for more then an hour alone with since he was a tiny baby due to daddy being deployed for the last 3 years. thank god thats over with. no more hubby having to leave for 6 months to a year at a time.
Pink.. you are not the shortest in the bunch by far. i'm only 5'1" tall.. lol and dh is 6'1 so yeah its fun.. haha
well i am tired so i am going to head back to bed for a bit. talk to you all later today.
oh yeah space- your not the only on the doc said that their weight was causing problems getting preggo. i have had 3 miscarriages in the last year due to what my doc said was my body rejecting them due to my weight issues. so hopefully losing weight will help both of us accomplish our goals of having children.

Rep Power: 3940 | | Okay before I post anything...I must give fair warning that my brain is a little zapped today (more than normal) so if there are typos or any other form of incoherence, please forgive me Emily!!! Glad you stopped in and lost some weight way to go!!
Welcome Natalie Jo!! You have definitely got some company here. congratulations on your weight loss. I am confident that you will continue to go down, and do not get discouraged if you fluctuate as you said. Yesterday I went up to 276 and today back to 274 and truly I want to get the heck out of the 270's LOL I started at 289 and was dying to get the heck out of the 280's and I did it! You can do it too...you might even pass me
Welcome Spacecase !! OMG I know all too well about the menstruation issues thing I believe in you! Weight loss has so many health benefits and the more we are disciplined the easier it is. I should know...I have next to ZERO discipline, but have been trying my darnedest to discipline myself. By the way...I'm so looking forward to seeing baby pictures Congratulations on your marriage!! Best wishes for all the years to come Momma4alex U, my friend, are one STRONG woman! Short and strong! heh we always get the tallest men don't we LOVE THAT! I am happy that your husband is back home safely and spending time with the little one. I do not mean to sound corny, but honestly, please thank him for his service to me and the people of this nation. (even if he did not serve in the war) I cannot imagine how difficult it was for him or for you, but I would like to sincerely express my gratitude to the both of you.
I weigh in tomorrow guys, wish me luck!! Have a great day everybody!

sounds like everyone is dedicated and sticking with this! Yeah for us!
Ginger......good luck with the weigh in, let us all know how you did.
Yesterday I got an email from a girlfriend and was invited to join a group going to Bonaire in April (3 of my best girlfriends! yay!) So now I am really motivated. I will be spending a week on the beach. So, I called a friend that owns a gym yesterday (she is part of the Bonaire party) and asked for the Bonaire Friends Special. She is letting me join for $20 a month, no joining fee. woohoooooo. I am going down on Monday. Will let you all know how this goes.
Doesn't it seem funny that I will drive 5 miles to the gym to walk on a treadmill?? and then drive home? Oh well, here in Oregon, you have to have webbed feet 8 months out of the year if you want to get outside. Plus........and Ginger you and I will have to trade notes........I get to take YOGA again. They offer all kinds of group classes.
It may be a high goal, but I would like to hit 200 by April 12 and the day we fly out. That is 27 lbs in like 11 or 12 weeks. I may not quite make it, but knowing I will be in a SWIMMING SUIT will help keep me on track.
Hey, anyone have thoughts on the Green Tea capsules that are out there?
Hang in there gang!
-Lori (summerbaby - born the first day of summer! my mom called me her summer baby! awwwww)

Rep Power: 1319 | | Good Morning all! I'm feeling a little frustrated this morning. No weight loss for the second week in a row. Technically my 'official' weigh in day isn't until Monday and I know in the past I'll weigh in a couple days later and show a loss that wasn't there a couple days ago. So, I won't get too upset yet. It's just a little frustrating to not see the numbers drop. And I know it's not all about the numbers on the scale, but it sure is nice to see them go down.
Spacecase, thanks for the compliment on my avatar...it actually looks a bit like me (well, a slightly smaller version of me), that's why I chose it. I should put my pic in my profile so you can see. I like yours too!
Summerbaby, I can beat your driving 5 miles to the gym to walk on a treadmill. I drive...a little over 2 blocks, I can see the gym from my front door. However, here in Minnesnowda it gets frigidly cold and I am a total wuss when it comes to cold. As soon as it warms up to a reasonable temp, I will walk to the gym again. Okay, so that won't be until June, but still...

Oh, Tabbigirl....don't fret about the scale. You know how we hear that muscle weighs more than fat? Well, I saw a photo someplace on the forums of a pound of fat next to a pound of muscle. WOW. Pay attention to how your clothes are fitting for now. I bet you are actually losing fat and replacing it with heavier, lean muscle. Keep at it, this is more than JUST losing, it is living a healthier life (and the result will be a smoking hot Tabbi!)
And really now....2 blocks? Girl, put on your coat and hat and walk! Your car doesn't even get warm in that distance!
I am frustrated with how my own weight can go up or down 2-4 pounds in one day. I weigh each morning when I get up, before my morning coffee. That way it is the same time/circumstances each day. Yesterday down 4 pounds!! in one day!! Today, up 2. I know it would be better to weigh in weekly, yet it keeps me on track.
OK, so gym membership starts Monday. This weekend my daughter is home from college, so will spend the weekend having fun with her.
