Well I haven't lose any weight since 3/29/08.. I checked my journal.

Actually according to the scale this morning I have gaine .2oz ..but I am not fretting, reading my "Conquering your food addiction" book again and I am starting to write down my weights in the morning and what I eat along with my exercise. So I can keep track of when I go out and walk and when are my days to not walk, or rest. I am going to start using the bench again... at least for my arms, upper chest, etc.

and I plan to start this time, tomorrow morning at around ten am.. I am going to have two eggs tomorrow morning with a piece of ham or turkey slice on the frying pan... just heat the meat up a little. I notice protein fills me up for the day ...
and than for the beginnning of the time period I eat lunch 1/2 of a sandwhich, with 1 slice of turkey and 1/2 a piece of provolone, and the same later and dinner I havent figured out yet. If I crave suger I will eat my mango fruit, if I get hungry, snack times. Or my suger free jello. No sorbet tomorrow, no yogurts, not going near them.

I am ready to take this on! Full steam ahead!!

Hey Nataliejo I just wanted to let you know that you are doing great so far hun...so do not stress yourself about ounces...that could be some water you drank or food you ate and nothing is wrong with that. Remember that when you weigh yourself everyday, the weight will vary because the body may retain or release more fluids depending on what it needs to function, so not all weight is bad weight. You've lost 48 pounds so far...that's way better than me...I've been over here playing around in the 270's LOLOL but like you I am determined to take it off....I tell myself.....weight loss is not something impossible, its actually quite simple, but just the power of the mind...that is the key. I truly believe that once my mind is totally in this, weight loss is inevitable.

Keep up the good work

Nataliejo, don't worry about a pound or two it won't bite you or anything. As long as your doing what your doing right now, your weight will go down eventually . And man...just when I thought my right knee would give me thesame problem as my left, but i'm wrong! I only got a bruise the upper part of my Tibia . I'm so relieved!

I just ate Arbys... dammit. Almost 1000 calories for one meal.

Today started my new hectic work schedule. I know for sure I don't have a day off for the next 2 weeks and probably for the next 2 after that. We'll see how long I can keep this up. I'll be absolutely amazed if I work out at all.

Tomorrow Matt and I have an appointment to see a house at 9:30. I found a couple more that looked kinda good so I'm going to call in the morning to see if we can squeeze a couple more houses in before I have to be at one of my jobs at noon. If we can't see them tomorrow we'll have to wait til next saturday because I work 8-5 mon-fri. It makes it a little difficult to get anything done. Hopefully one of these houses will work out!

Natalie jo -

Do you take measurements? I haven't lost weight in weeks and weeks but my measurements keep changing. When the scale doesn't move, that is a really good way to get motivation and see that your body is changing even though it doens't register on the scale.

Reread the Scale Mentality thread. When I was feeling low a week or so ago, I reread it and felt better because there are other ways my body lets me know that things are moving in the right direction. Stick with it, you know that if you do what you need to do, the numbers will change, they have to.

-------------------

I hope everyone is doing well, it is so much easier to struggle through this knowing that there are others who are in the same boat with you.

I had a really great experience today which I posted in my diary. I would repost it here but I am just a little to lazy for that, so for those who are interested, I will just give the link

My Good Sunday

I hope everyone had a great weekend...

Oh my gaaaad I cannot believe I am going to do this

Okay everybody so,

As you may or may not know...I have been dancing around the house occassionally as exercise, well....I did not for i think three or four days and today I had to go to Wal-Mart..you will not believe how fat and out of shape I felt!! I mean, I never feel like that unless I am sick or something...but I was really feeling like it was difficult to walk around, and like my belly was a burden I was carrying . I am glad it happened though, because I have decided to join the gym across the street. I'm going to go check them out tomorrow. I have never joined a gym before and I am feeling a little apprehensive because a lot of people i know never go and end up owing tons of money...and of course we all start with the best intentions to go everyday. I am going to check them out and see how much it costs. A coworker i know goes to the same gym and she told me they have a down payment/monthly plan for $99.00 down and $19.99 a month and you can pause membership at any time. We will see how it goes....

Ginger - I belonged to a gym for over 5 years before I started going (it came out of my account via automatic withdrawl) so as long as you do better than that, consider yourself a success.

I was really apprehensive going to the gym in the beginning but I realized that everyone there has the same goals I do so what's the big deal. If you can pause the membership, the risk is very low, just be sure to read the entire contact so you know what you are in for.

Good luck - keep us posted

Thanks Ali!!! I know what you mean about contracts!! I was listening to a song called "Step right up" by Tom Waits and he said "The large print giveth and the small print taketh away." OMG too true!

Thats a very good Pink, I would suggest you join the gym. If you hurt walking and you can feel your body giving you a hard time. The basic human must know how to walk. You must be able to walk, thats why I walk. I have once lost the ability walk once or twice... today I only walked for thirteen minutes, but tomorrow I plan to walk longer, but it hurt like hell to take this dinky walk, and this was only from three weeks of not walking.. I really suggest you use the treadmill...

I would join the gym...
best wishes

Thanks Nataliejo,

It frightened me because...you know it is something I did to myself. It is my choice to a sedentary lifestyle and my choice to eat the unhealthy things that contributed to this. I once lost the ability to walk because of a car accident I was in. Its a horse of a different color if I lose my ability to walk because of myself and being fat!!! By God may it never happen, so I will check out the gym tomorrow. This is something within my control, not a random thing...you know what I mean. I can walk thank God, but the fat was making it difficult today for the first time. I am talking about it openly, but really I feel ashamed. Time to get serious and stop putzin' around LOL. It's a little hard to believe, just last week I was doing hours of yoga and dancing and today i was feeling like i was hauling the empire state building by my belly.

Anyways on a lighter note...
I hope everyone has a marvellous day tomorrow!!
Take care everybody

This has been a great month and it will just get better from here... next goal 5/12/08- 8 lbs, which would put me at 234, i'm gonna try for 232, that number sounds better!!

Hope all is well with everyone!!!

Hey everyone,
I dont know where to start to take measurement. I finally have this tiny bit of space showing up between my lower and upper abdomen, right where my navel is, which is always good..

but I am doing things the opposite

I am not eating less and walking more
I am eating more and walking less...
which is the opposite of doing good at all ..in any way shape or form...

I did go walking for twenty minutes, but tomorrow I am hoping to motivate a full hour out of me and I think I can .. I only walked thirteen minutes the day before today, which yes, was yesterday, today I walked twenty and tomorrow I hope to do my whole new route, its just my feet are KILLING me lol I cracked them too much last night and now I have such sores in my bones lol but the best thing for arthritis is to keep walking ..so tomorrow .. I am going for a one hour walks ..usually when I get better it turns into forty five minutes, this route.... but it should do me good!
It felt good to be out there although ..almost surreal ..because with being so sad and stressed .. I am now leading an official sedentary lifestyle ..which I am totally beating myself up about .. I know I can do this .. I lose a lot of weight already, now its time to get the rest off ,u know ..but I look at how far I have to go ..and it is sooooooooooooo overwhelming ..its like wow and I look down at the low 200 and I am now 275.4 ... sucks ass I gained a pound, although I am not drinking much of any water ...we are running out in the house..which sucks and the tap is bad ..but I have some left ..so I shall start drinking it like

now!

well you get the gist ..motivation is at a low point now, stress is getting to me..and this shaking after coming off this med I was on is driving me batty ..everytime I try to sit still .. I am shaking and vibrating .. I can not relax and its getting too me ..really bad!

well ttylater lovie ..
I will respond to you guys later ...
just not into it right now .. I feel blah blah blah ugh

NatalieJo-

awww i'm sorry your bones are being a pain!! I have a very weak right ankle so about 3 days of walking straight i have to put my little brace on it overnight and until i walk again.. so i know the feeling. Best advice i can give you when walking is music, walking for an hour is great for the first 20-35 mins.. then it sucks from the 30ish mark to about 50 minutes... and the last ten feel amazing.. i guess i'm finally in that umm "zone". But i put on my headphones (one ear i wanna hear if their a monster coming behind me) and get that realllly motivating song and before i know it.. bam i've walked for 50 minutes and i dont wanna stop...

Good luck on your walk, i hope you toes start obeying!!
