And apparently I'm also keeping my other job but just on saturday and sunday. That means I'll be working roughly 95 hours a week, so hopefully that also means I'll be eating less. That also means there's really no chance of me working out haha. Being an adult sucks sometimes.
Wow work-a-holic!!! I knwo what you mean though at my job i usually have to work about 70 hours and of course they set me up at home so i can get on the computer and work on the weekends... *wooohooo, not* Being an adult has it's ups and downs!!!

But just a tip, the weeks i work more i eat more. Energy!!!!i just avoid the fatty snacks and make sure i get more protein in my breakfast and lunch since i usually work on crazy weekdays from 6Am - 9PM. it sucks but the money is worth it lol. And when i sy i eat a little more, i dont mean over eat... that sucks worse than starving myself lol Good luck on the new job!!!

I do once a month... it's eatting me up inside, but Monday is weigh in day!!! FINALLY, i get to see the good doctor at 2:00PM and get to find out if i hit my goal or not for this month.. Wooooot!!!

Anyway i've kept my weight daily before, and then weekly which i liked but Monthly i think i have a real good idea about this b/c i can reallly put a dent in the scale. I know if i'm eatting right and doing my exercising everyday and getting enough sleep (most nights) I WILL lose...

and you will too let's make the scale drop dramatically!! lGood Luck!

Ok I actually have a good gain .. I weigh 274.4... I didnt take the metformin last night, and I didnt get nauseous, or have acid in the throat because of it. The second metformin can make you gain weight and I had started eating at night, because of the acid.. I cant take it ...so I am back to what I was before I started taking the second one, which I am happy about, I was expecting to be more, but I wasnt ..which I am excited, so my ticker can stay where it is, instead of putting it up, soon I will be moving it down another couple of pounds, which I am excited about..

but anyway ..ttylater everyone

Well I haven't lose any weight since 3/29/08.. I checked my journal.

Actually according to the scale this morning I have gaine .2oz ..but I am not fretting, reading my "Conquering your food addiction" book again and I am starting to write down my weights in the morning and what I eat along with my exercise. So I can keep track of when I go out and walk and when are my days to not walk, or rest. I am going to start using the bench again... at least for my arms, upper chest, etc.

and I plan to start this time, tomorrow morning at around ten am.. I am going to have two eggs tomorrow morning with a piece of ham or turkey slice on the frying pan... just heat the meat up a little. I notice protein fills me up for the day ...
and than for the beginnning of the time period I eat lunch 1/2 of a sandwhich, with 1 slice of turkey and 1/2 a piece of provolone, and the same later and dinner I havent figured out yet. If I crave suger I will eat my mango fruit, if I get hungry, snack times. Or my suger free jello. No sorbet tomorrow, no yogurts, not going near them.

I am ready to take this on! Full steam ahead!!

Hey Nataliejo I just wanted to let you know that you are doing great so far hun...so do not stress yourself about ounces...that could be some water you drank or food you ate and nothing is wrong with that. Remember that when you weigh yourself everyday, the weight will vary because the body may retain or release more fluids depending on what it needs to function, so not all weight is bad weight. You've lost 48 pounds so far...that's way better than me...I've been over here playing around in the 270's LOLOL but like you I am determined to take it off....I tell myself.....weight loss is not something impossible, its actually quite simple, but just the power of the mind...that is the key. I truly believe that once my mind is totally in this, weight loss is inevitable.

Keep up the good work

Nataliejo, don't worry about a pound or two it won't bite you or anything. As long as your doing what your doing right now, your weight will go down eventually . And man...just when I thought my right knee would give me thesame problem as my left, but i'm wrong! I only got a bruise the upper part of my Tibia . I'm so relieved!

cameraobscura is on a distinguished road
I just ate Arbys... dammit. Almost 1000 calories for one meal.

Today started my new hectic work schedule. I know for sure I don't have a day off for the next 2 weeks and probably for the next 2 after that. We'll see how long I can keep this up. I'll be absolutely amazed if I work out at all.

Tomorrow Matt and I have an appointment to see a house at 9:30. I found a couple more that looked kinda good so I'm going to call in the morning to see if we can squeeze a couple more houses in before I have to be at one of my jobs at noon. If we can't see them tomorrow we'll have to wait til next saturday because I work 8-5 mon-fri. It makes it a little difficult to get anything done. Hopefully one of these houses will work out!

Natalie jo -

Do you take measurements? I haven't lost weight in weeks and weeks but my measurements keep changing. When the scale doesn't move, that is a really good way to get motivation and see that your body is changing even though it doens't register on the scale.

Reread the Scale Mentality thread. When I was feeling low a week or so ago, I reread it and felt better because there are other ways my body lets me know that things are moving in the right direction. Stick with it, you know that if you do what you need to do, the numbers will change, they have to.

-------------------

I hope everyone is doing well, it is so much easier to struggle through this knowing that there are others who are in the same boat with you.

I had a really great experience today which I posted in my diary. I would repost it here but I am just a little to lazy for that, so for those who are interested, I will just give the link

My Good Sunday

I hope everyone had a great weekend...

Oh my gaaaad I cannot believe I am going to do this

Okay everybody so,

As you may or may not know...I have been dancing around the house occassionally as exercise, well....I did not for i think three or four days and today I had to go to Wal-Mart..you will not believe how fat and out of shape I felt!! I mean, I never feel like that unless I am sick or something...but I was really feeling like it was difficult to walk around, and like my belly was a burden I was carrying . I am glad it happened though, because I have decided to join the gym across the street. I'm going to go check them out tomorrow. I have never joined a gym before and I am feeling a little apprehensive because a lot of people i know never go and end up owing tons of money...and of course we all start with the best intentions to go everyday. I am going to check them out and see how much it costs. A coworker i know goes to the same gym and she told me they have a down payment/monthly plan for $99.00 down and $19.99 a month and you can pause membership at any time. We will see how it goes....

Ginger - I belonged to a gym for over 5 years before I started going (it came out of my account via automatic withdrawl) so as long as you do better than that, consider yourself a success.

I was really apprehensive going to the gym in the beginning but I realized that everyone there has the same goals I do so what's the big deal. If you can pause the membership, the risk is very low, just be sure to read the entire contact so you know what you are in for.

Good luck - keep us posted

Thanks Ali!!! I know what you mean about contracts!! I was listening to a song called "Step right up" by Tom Waits and he said "The large print giveth and the small print taketh away." OMG too true!

Thats a very good Pink, I would suggest you join the gym. If you hurt walking and you can feel your body giving you a hard time. The basic human must know how to walk. You must be able to walk, thats why I walk. I have once lost the ability walk once or twice... today I only walked for thirteen minutes, but tomorrow I plan to walk longer, but it hurt like hell to take this dinky walk, and this was only from three weeks of not walking.. I really suggest you use the treadmill...

I would join the gym...
best wishes
