Hello gals and guys,
Well this morning Peter is up at nine am at my house and he is meeting my mom (scared much). She likes to analyze people and get right down to the core root of the person, or what she thinks is. So this is going to be hard. I hope she doesnt drive me too nuts with her "red flags" lol

Does anyone know the "red flag" phenomenon? Am I alone in this?

lol well she wants to pick his brain apart, see how he talks, his gestures to try and find anything that might be wrong with him, that might tell her he is no good. Which is fine, she is just looking out for me. All my bfs have been doozies, even one putting me in debt so I had to go for bankruptcy, but that was a long time ago. I have my credit back, my credit is getting better. I never thought they would give me another credit card, but they did. I only have a 300 dollars limit, but I only use it in emergencies, which is a very good thing, or habit to pick up. But I already have good debt mounting from college, but hey its cool. I am looking forward to working in the bookstore when I am done. I love bookstores and thats actually my goal to work in Barnes n noble or a Borders or the Coup, but I think the Coup in Cambridge only hires people from the school, so that would be a no no, plus I was have to take Mass Transit, and as much as I love Mass Transit, I would have to learn it instantly, although between my ex and my sister I am learning it slowly. South Station, fine. North Station, confused as all hell lol

But anyway so my tops are getting too big and some are too small I have come to find out, some are too long, because I am only 5'6..

today I am wearing a cut denim skirt with a nice shirt and yes white plain sneakers with white bobby socks. We are going to the beach. So I dont want to wear the other shoes, because they are rather uncomfy. I need to ...someday when I have money...which is not going to be for another four years...lol jk ...but someday I have to invest in another pair of nice shoes, ones that actually fit, I hate hurting after wearing the nice shoes. I can't really walk in them, they are more like walking in the store, going to a restaurant, as long as I am not walking through Boston, however, we always seem to be walking Through Boston, so I can't wear them when I visit Joanna, maybe this summer I will look for a good pair, maybe in sketchers ... or something ...
but anyway I have to buy new walking shoes, because the winter ones I bought in March are a dying breed right now...

took a walk yesterday in the boiling hot sun for forty minutes, man was I sweating. Tank top season is on its way, thankfully. Hopefully I will find pretty tank tops and not gross tank tops. I usually find the cheap gross tank tops, I want things that are pretty, as expensive as they are, and wont shrink so fast ... quality... thats about it peeps..

I look forward to seeing Peter, these past couple weeks seem like a lifetime ...

My mother is a first impression person. She is totally in love with one of my friends. She even tells me that I need to marry him. LoL. I think she just likes that he's a country boy. Grew up on a farm, owns his own horses, dresses like a cowboy. Actually, he is a CowBoy and Ex-Marine. LoL... so of course my mom loves him. But she also wants me to marry the guy I work with... Rob. Told me once that I needed to move to a country where I can have 2 husbands, LoL, so that she can have both of them as son in laws. But my mom figures she raised me right and any guy that I bring home to meet her is a good one, so no 'redflag' grilling.

Anyway, my mom's mother-in-law, the most evilist old lady I've ever met, asks tons of questions like your mother. But what she does is worse in my opinion. She will ask you a question and if she doesn't like what you have to say she will ask you again in a different way. OMG.. there have been times that I have answered the same question 50 times, I swear, and she will just keep on rephrasing it until she gives up or you feed her the answer she wants.

Oh, why do I think my grandmother-in-law is EVIL !! Because ever since she met me when I was 10 she always called me FAT. She asked me one day why I wasn't as skinny as her grandaughters and I would think it would be obvious... I'm 5'9 and her grandaughters are barely 5'0!! I was wearing a dress my grandmother gave me before she died and Evil Grandmother said, "Oh that dress is nice on you, it covers up your fat." And every time I see her she makes me cry. She's a compliment and insult u in the same sentence kind of woman. 100% Pure EVIL

Ooops... sorry, I trailed off and started ranting about my grandmother-in-law.

I feel for you on the grandmother thing. My real grandmother is so bad. All she thinks is of how fat people are and she hates fat people. So my sister and I are obese, liz has lost seventy pounds although.. WOW does she look beautiful, I have more to go lol but not focusing on the end, but the next eight pounds, anyway so she will make remarks through out dinner, tell you whether you look like you have lost weight ect

Once she even told me I needed to get control, because I looked my chest was a barrel, I was smaller than I am now, and my figure it coming back ..a barrel my butt... in proper language lol but I try to avoid her at all costs. and when I do see her, I am reminded why I never see her, but the holidays suck that way, because than we meet them for dinner one night to eat in order for thanksgiving, not on the day, but in a restaurnat a few weeks before, and than a few weeks before Christmas we get together again . ... She is always on the insult list... except when she actually notices you have lost weight ... she says wow you have lost weight, but she notices if you put a few back on the next time, so she is like ... wow you gained weight, Natalie you need to get control over this!! etc etc etc. She probably does care, but she gets me all in a bunch. I am so mixxed up on how I feel about her. She just throws the insults so well. It really hurt when she told me I looked like a barrel .. I still can picture her that day ..

but u know what ... I just avoid, which probably isnt the answer...but we arent very well liked by the rest of the family, plus they are racist disgusting people, so it would be bad for Peter to meet them. I wouldnt want to put him through that... u know

Oh, I avoide my grandmother-in-law like the crazy. When we go down to San Jose I always make sure I got plans so that I dont have to go see her. But the good thing is, I am only obligated to go visit her when my step-dad comes down.

Get this, I have been in her family for 12 years and I got one present from her out of my whole life... it was a cheap pink bath towel for Christmas. However my mom's gift from her was classic. My mom got a christmas present from her a couple years ago and it was a canned ham!!



My real Granma was awesome. She always bought me cute clothes and she always tried to get me to wear earings. She would say that the first thing a guy notices on a girl is her earings and face. LoL. Wish that was true now. My family never really said anything about my weight. Only my Step Dad's family. But you gotta consider, his family is full of short, skinny, Filippina's and me being a tall Mexican, of course our body types will be different.

My Step-Grandmother-In-Law is dumb tho. She told me that I have a pretty face but I'd be beautiful if I was skinny. That was the reason why I didn't have a boyfriend. Well, I've had my share of guys but she's so stupid that she doesn't believe me. Said that if I did ever have a boyfriend she would have met him and talked to him. Hell no she aint talking to anyone I'm with or know. She is just so rude, rude. Plus, I'm afraid she'd be the one to scare off my future boyfriend. LoL.

Totally feel you on that one V... its crazy...
the grandmother who was always affectionate and was awesome died about three years ago. I was totally and completely heartsick, so sad, the one that sucks butt is alive and kicking and likes to bring misery lol
but I guess I have to be more accepting of her senile ways, wait she has always been like this! lol oh well ..its a running joke now in my family ..that is not actually age, she just has always been a really big b***!

I dumped Peter. I couldnt take the barely talking bit and he didnt come up today or contact me to tell me he wasnt coming nore after the fact. So I told him we could be friends, so thats about it. Alex is coming up tonight, we might do the naughty, but I am not attached ..he understands me better than most. He was a jerk for a bf, but he is great as a friend. We are going to the beach tomorrow and I am going to walk the whole beach and we are going out to eat, but it is not a date and we are not getting back together. We are just keeping each other company for now ... its seems the best thing for me right now

I like your style Nataliejo. When I used to date, I put up with zero foolishness from men..ZERO!! It earned me a stalker for three years which was a bit unpleasant...but hey I stood up for what I believed in. Man just remembering those three years. And two years after he finished stalking me he saw me at a gas station and groped me and if you know anything about me...I do not put up with that!!! Stalked me for THREE years and I only dated him for 2 weeks!! What a loser!
