We ARE famous | Oh this is sad....so sorry to hear. All of the girls you like are either too far or are leaving...what is up with that ? Quadrilingual that is cool! I also have a love for languages. |

She was trying to make me see sense i think and has since admitted that she has been worried sick abt my weight for a while. However, last week she greeted my with "Oh my god you've lost a chin!!" which i think was a compliment - but a very back handed one! Ahhh the mama always speaks her mind!
Hope everyone is doing great
Allie x | Wow, I suppose this happens alot. I know that's how my Step-Grandma is with my mom and I. There was one day she told my mom, "Oh, I like that shirt... it hides your fat." However, my mom doesn't use her words for motivation... she just gets upset and hopes the lady gets run over.
I however, do use what she says as motivation. I haven't seen her in awhile and have lost weight, so I know she will be like, "Veronica, you've lost weight. Now you are pretty enough to find a boyfriend." LoL. She always tells me that. "If you get skinny you'll have a boyfriend." You see, my Step-Grandma speaks her mind too like your mom Allie. Just she tries to sugar coat it by saying something nice before she says what she really thinks. "U look so pretty V, if you were skinny you'd be beautiful.."

Rep Power: 8 | | I have a doctors appointment today and after weighing myself today, I'm so proud of myself.
When I went a month ago I weighted 251 pounds.
Now I weight 244! Woo Hoo!!
This was a good month. Correction... a great month! |

Rep Power: 7 | | Memorial Day has come and gone Weather was a little iffy, but at least the tornado didn't hit us. And that's kind of how the long weekend went. It was good to get three days off work, but somehow I spent hours making a new necklace instead of doing all the spring cleaning that was on my list. And it's a ridiculous 5-foot long glass necklace that I can't quite figure out how to wear. LOL
On the plus side, I also spent hours on my bike, just riding around the city checking out yard sales and cemetery open houses (no, REALLY!). In fact, my husband and I were just riding back from the Sunday cemetery tour when we were hit by a cold blast of wind from the north and looked over our shoulders to see a wall of dark cloud looming ominously over the northern half of the city. We skedaddled for home, and didn't find out until the next day that an F4 tornado had been devastating a northern suburb at that very moment. Fifty houses reduced to splinters, another hundred damaged. I felt vaguely guilty that we didn't give that wall of weather another thought once we realized we weren't going to get rained on.
As far as dieting goes, the week was a wash. I did not stick to my planned diet (1600-1800 calories), but I did hit my exercise goal (2800 calories). In the end, I didn't lose anything, but I didn't gain anything back either. Still 216.
However, I haven't had the nerve to weigh myself since that big Memorial Day BBQ yesterday. I ate mostly grilled meat and vegies, but the marinades were so salty that I probably gained 3 pounds of water weight. I think I won't depress myself with that knowledge. |

Rep Power: 8 | | Don't you just hate that? Sometimes it's all the courage I can muster to step on that thing. And I know there's a post about the Scale Mentality that I revisit every now and then, but still, I can handle 100 teens in a day, but stepping up 1.5 inches scares the crap out of me.
What's worse, though (I learned from Weight Watchers), is thinking that you've done a really perfectly great job and finding out that you mysteriously gained 3 pounds instead of losing. At least it's just me looking and not some smug blonde ***** (not that I hate blondes, but it's easier to imagine them blonde).
Have a great Tuesday!!! |

I mean lose weight. whoops!!
Some pants finally got loose! Yay!
I've lost 15 pounds and there has been no noticeable difference in my body. Where the heck did it come from? My brain?
Really, here is my guess. When I'm not losing weight (as in overall), my body compacts itself. Even the fat is less wiggly. As I start to get in weight losing mode, though, I'm super dooper wiggly! I think that's why the weight loss and measurements don't always jive. Does this happen to anyone else.
Because if it does, we need to celebrate our wiggliness!!
Oh, maybe those beers will make it go away... |
lol your brain! Hun it all comes off usually evenly... so you have fifteen pounds coming off broken up on each body part. It will build up... we know you can do it ..keep up the hard and good work!
lol celebrate our wiggliness lol

So, we watched movies, went out to eat at this really nice resturant. When we got there, in my head I was like... He's taking me here to eat? LoL.
I just had a really great time. Oh, I hope this works out between me and him. I mean, from what I got to know of him, I really like. =) | Congrats Veronica!! Don't you love when the date works out ... its always nice ...lol
