Rep Power: 0 | | | Newbie here. Before giving birth, I'm at 125 lbs. After giving birth I weighed a whooping 165 lbs. Then after some diet and BIG motivation, I lost 20 lbs at stayed there for more or less 5 years. Now i'm doing some cruches and situps to minimize my tummy. Looking forward in weighing 125 lbs again... Or even less :-)

Rep Power: 0 | | | Hello. My name is Eddy. I am a male, 43 years old coming up in October. I've been at about 250 lbs. for a couple of years now. A couple of months ago I had enough of feeling like crap, so I joined a local gym. I remember a decade ago I got on this real good diet plan and got down to about 180 lbs. That's my goal now, even though I can't remember the diet I was on (I do remember checking in for some weekly vitamin shots). Anyways, I really haven't changed my eating habits, as of yet, though I am eating smaller portions. I want to firmly establish my routine in the gym, and have been successfully going every day for about 2 months now. I don't spend too much time in there...mainly going in an hour before it closes so I can get to all the machines without waiting around. I feel, and am educated enough, to know that exercise plus a healthy eating plan is the key to losing weight. Just pray that I can keep this up guys and gals! |

Well, it's been awhile. I'm still at the same weight, but that's due to me not exercising like I should.
So, I've gotten into the habit of finally going to the gym 4-5 days a week. Bout time, especially since I got my membership in July and it's now October and I'm barely starting to use it. But it's more convenient to go now that I have to go to school 3 days out of the week and i pass by the gym all of the time.
So, now that I am trying to go to the gym as often as possible, I believe that I will now start getting down in weight. I can already say that I feel tons better by working out.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew when I should up the workout routine in level / weight and or reps. Most likely when I find that the workout that i am doing comes more easily, without any type of struggle? Right?
Later,
Veronica!
PS... CONGRATS Kevi & princess_lolli for almost being out of the 200+

Rep Power: 185 | | I say you start at a pace of 7/3 reps/sets. Then level up by 3 reps when you think 7 is lighter than before. It's really up to you though.
Update, yesterday after basketball, I hit 201.2 Lbs. A little bit more of cardio and im out of 200s!

Rep Power: 0 | | It depends...I've never really heard of an "easy, no struggle workout before" especially if you are trying to lean down, build muscle and lose weight.
I like Kevi's plan, but you have to go with what feels right to you of course. Maybe start where you left off last time, and adjust from there.
Personally, anytime I'm on layoff from the gym I find I have to step down in endurance, intensity, and weight and build it back up again.
Keep us posted. |

Rep Power: 6300 | | | I'm back. I've decided I might need a little more support. I'm eating 1500 calories a day (which, according to losertown means I'll be out of the 200s by March 9--a dream come true, right?), starting today. I bought a Wii fit about a week ago and I enjoy it even though the activity it induces is not incredibly strenuous. You can tell that the Japanese really, really think balance is important.

Activity doesn't have to be strenuous, just consistent. |

Rep Power: 64380 | | I weighed in under 210 lbs today for the first time in about a decade.
Hopefully I won't be in the over 200 club much longer!

So, as we all know, I've been here awhile and still at the same weight. Well, I can't say it's anyone's fault but mine. So, I've decided to do some stuff to step up my game.
The whole food thing is what's bringing me down. I've realized that I just don't eat the way I'm suppose to. There are so many options out there that I just can't seem to choose the right foods.
So, on Monday this week, I joined Jenny Craig with my mother. It's the best thing for both of us. Considering that my mom is just barely under the 300lbs mark and when I weighed in, I was at 249.4. This isn't good. So, hopefully with the help of the program and the use of my LA Fitness membership, I can get down to my goal weight of 175.
I know following the Jenny Craig program it's going to be hard, especially with the Holidays right around the corner, but honestly, knowing me, once the Holidays hit, if I didn't join, I know that I would be moving up the scale instead of what we are all here to do... move down it. So, good luck to me. Plus, good luck to all of you out there who are striving for the same thing... A healthy lifestyle and weight.
