Rep Power: 0 | | | Time of day Is there a BEST time of day to exercise?
When I was employed, I put in up to 60 hour a week on the job. I used to exercise before breakfast because that was the only time of the day that was truly mine. I don't get up quite so early now but I still put in a good day at my own business. I could exercise before breakfast if that would be the best time of day to do so. I seem to need to schedule my day or I don't get anything accomplished so just exercising whenever the mood hits me won't work.

Rep Power: 10 | | | Well, there are a couple things to consider. First, everyone is different. Secondly, your goals will also determine this. Some say that if you are trying to lose weight that the best time is before breakfast because you don't have any carbs in your body to burn as fuel. But, if you are trying to build mass, then it might be better around dinner (before or after), when you have plenty of fuel to get the max out of your workout. |

Rep Power: 16310 | | Exercising in the morning eliminates the chance of not exercising at all. Depending on how determined you are this might not be a problem, but if exercising is not that high on your priority list it is easy to postpone until it is to late (time to go to bed). Believe me I know what I'm talking about - I am a master at avoiding exercise...not because I don't like it, but because I haven't found the right motivator...I manage to totally forget to exercise...therefore for me mornings are best...if I can convince myself to get out of bed

Rep Power: 0 | | | I usually hit the gym around 9pm for an hour. I work from 7:30-5:00 everyday so i find it hard to get up early enough to go to the gym in the morning. I find my routine pretty good... although it makes for a hard time of it on the days that I don't consume a lot of calories. I find myself getting pretty tired at the end of my workout... but on the other hand, that works well because I usually get a pretty good nights sleep afterwards.

Rep Power: 0 | | I also go to the gym at night... I've become so used to it that I can't even go in the morning or the afternoon.
Maybe that's why I'm so buff
*edit* wow, this thread came back from the dead XD
