Hi Taz

Yes, im from Singapore and soon to be moving to Malaysia for good. And after 5 years get their citizenship.

Im currently in Woodlands and will be moving to Desa Cemerlang, JB hopefully by November 08.

Im almost a housewife as I stay at home but also run my business in Singapore and Malaysia. These are online businesses so I only need to have a warehouse space and thats all. I sell wholesale apparels, been doing this online for almost 8 years now.

Yes, I understand what you mean, there are plenty of good and great food in Singapore, not to mention JB.

I must tell you, before my journey, I often eat out, almost 3-4 times a week, name it, SWENSON, BREEKS, and every great seafood eatery there is in JB, mostly Ive been there! Food is my husband's and mine passtime!

Really loved eating so I put on so much weight as we normally go out for dinner and supper.

I steadily put on around 10 KG per pregnancy because of my eating habits.

so, at my 4th pregnancy i was already 136 KG after birth.

i was overweight to begin with.

my lowest weight was 60KG in my 20s and im not saying i love that weights, i do but not a whole 100%, lifes great when you are lighter and im 178 metres so i get to be a model easily. what i hated was, men tends to accidentally touch you a lot. i remember many occasons when i was touched on my bum when trying to board a bus, someone kissed the back of my neck through my hair also while trying to board a bus just to mention a few. some men just follow you around, had a few stalkers. those were the days in my 20s and now that im in my 30s, i still hope to be in that place again, 60 ish kilo. first i have to loose half of me. im sure in my 30s, i wont be getting such ugly episodes in my life again.

how about you?

Hi there,

What a small world eh..I am staying in Yishun area and have been staying here for almost 10 years...Lets see where should I begin abt my weight loss/gain story..I have never even been skinny, i guess its what people here always say abt me as being big boned (I hate that term)..but I was around 62kg (the lowest) and 65kg during marriage..But after I suffered my first miscarriage, I went up to 70 to 72kg in a matter of a few months..so with that current weight, I got pregnant with my 1st boy..Was all the way until 90plus..But i lost most of it, after nearly a year after that bcos I was looking after my diet and really really exercising. I wasn't working then so i could religiously work out for an hour for abt 5 days a week. I went down to abt 62kg but all toned up then I sort of let it go and it went up and remain at 65 to 67kg...

About 2 years later, I got pregnant with my daughter, so this is the tricky part, I had this thinking in my head (hey I am not going to get pregnant again so might as well enjoy this pregnant period and wat else EAT n EAT) I was working by then so I really enjoyed the food where I was working...I gained up til abt 90kg i think right before I gave birth..I was abt 80kg after a month but I gained all back up to 86kg around there when I was nursing my daughter. Contrary to what people say abt losing sooo much while breastfeeding, that did not happen to me, in fact I gained even more as I was trying to eat sooo much and trying to produce as much milk as possible. Which was a problem at times, as I was so stressed at work and my daughter was rejecting formula..When my daughter was about 6 months and I was still wearing my maternity clothes..Isn't it sad..and you know here, where can you find easily clothes that are in bigger sizes...its very hard and very costly too..I made the decision to nurse her direct uptil she was abt 7 months afterwhich she was weaned slowly to the bottle but after that I told myself I have to start thinking abt weight loss..

That is another chapter altogether..I have learnt that it is only you and you only that can start the ball rolling..Oh i took a couple of months of playing around all the exercise Dvds but didn't start really seriously and I was asking myself why am i like this..where was my dedication..but it didnt come on till much later when my daughter was about a year plus..that was when i started working out properly..I do see the progress now from clothes of cos..But there is still room for improvement. As I still cannot find a pair of jeans tat I can fit in nicely...(sighs....)

And it doesnt help that my husband has much much difficulty to gain weight and because of that, he is forever the slim one..and look so much younger than his actual age...

I am only 165 cm and can you imagine at that height my normal ever weight was always at 65kg..still big.but you are 178cm..wow you are really tall...:-) wat sort of apperals do you sell online?

Ok nice to have to know abt more abt your stories..Are you Facebook or MSN by any chance??

Write soon..

Taz

Hi there,

How have you been??

To answer to you questions, I started with Denise Austin, progress on to The Biggest Loser and then now I am currently doing Slim in 6 which is from the Beachbody website. I am a exercise DVD junkie..I have quite a number of different types of workouts which I had started with. I get bored easily with these tapes so I will always need a variety..so I usually get my cardio and strength workouts from these DVDs. What abt you? And how abt your diet? Is there any type of food that you really avoid? What your typical day diet is like?

Taz

Where did you get the DVDs from?

I really wish to have some exercise DVD, im sure it will be fun. I use the Step Reebok workout which was a VHS but I converted to DVD. I memorised the steps and its quite boring cause ive used it before in my 20s like a mad dog, I was so addicted to exercise then.

Im interested in the biggest loser DVD and any walking DVD that I can get. If you know the place I can get it from, let me know.

Well, for diet, I try my best to avoid carbs. Its been 2 months plus since I ate rice.

You know, i seem to be hitting a platue now. I didnt loose as much last week and this week, the scale didnt barge! Maybe im eating too much.

As you know its the fasting month and food is galore during this time especially. You can get a variety at the bazaar.

Its hard to avoid eating much food during this month as the family gatherings are always done during this month.

I fear Hari Raya most! haha...

My husband says he can see a difference in my body after the weight loss but today my sister says, she cant see it... hmmm... thats my second sister. My third sister, says she can see the difference. So does my mum.

I can actually fit some clothes I have not been wearing for years. Also, I gave a away a few pants cause it dropped down my hips and its too big now. I have a cousin who is almost 150KG so I gave her anything I cant fit.

Taz, dont you think its a very emotional journey?

I sometimes have moods. The other day, I was feeling angry and sad for nothing at all. Well, I later found out that I was sad that I didnt loose much weight. I think im an impatient person.

Then, my driving instructor called and asked if I would like to fill a slot he has, so I did and I went for a drive and I immediately felt better. I love to drive. Its just fun!

Hi there...

I got the Biggest loser Dvd from the website, i got it a bit cheaper from the Singpost website so i sort of saved a bit on the shipping cost. And also you can get a few good ones from HMV, I have bought some from both of the HMV at citylink & Orchard..They have really some good ones with new and revised moves. I used to work out to Cindy Crawford VCD when I was trying to work after I gave birth to my son. But got bored by it. Do check out the site..try goggle search for singpost USA then go to the store and type in the biggest loser..another website that I like to go and check their DVDs n review is collagevideo.com ..i love to browse tru the site then i will see if they do sell it in Singapore...Will write you an email later on..take care..

Ok, I think I need to get something new that I like.

I just bought THE FIRM workout and TURBO JAM from ebay.

Im trying to get walk away the pounds also.

I just want to see which is better and have a variety.

I will check vpost usa to see if they have walk away the pounds

Turbo jam is fun, for the first time when I was doing it, i wasn't looking at the clock..which one did you get...and walk away pounds..hmm i bought it at Mustaffa and I saw it at one of those shops at Little India selling for less than $10 aroudn that price. But they have the very basic WAP, not the latest but you can still check out HMV.

anyway just wondering what do you guys think of detox diets do they work...?

like 3 days of only fruits
den start introducing various food groups....

fruits. then eat moderately
or should the diet of fruits, den various food groups work better?

i have been dealing with constant weight issues that i am quite confused... i do abit of hiphop, and my weight/body looks is affecting the way i dance, too. sigh.

Hi Wahaha

Sorry for the late reply.

Im not sure how good detox diets are. I saw on Oprah, while Dr Oz did an experiment on Detoz Diet of week or so on a some girls while the other batch of girls ate normal food, at the end of the week, they did test and found that nothing great has changed and no big difference on the health, skin or anything.

You may want to look through this forum but ive tried a few diets and nothing works better than the old fashion healthy eating and exercise. The worst and biggest mistake ive done was to join Marie France paying close to $6K and ended up loosing NOTHING!! I didnt complete the program coz what they did was wrap you in this cold wraps and put you in a cold room where you will shiver in coldness. After a few treatment, I had develop pain over my joints. So, I ditch the whole thing and worst thing is you cant get a refund. I tried to sell it to another girl and they told the girl all sorts of reason why that girl should not buy from me and shoud just buy a new package from them! Really terrible!!
