Rep Power: 4 | | | The Dreaded PLATEAU... Hi there,
Just thought it would be interesting to start a thread for those who have hit a plateau. It would be great to share our experiences, e.g what lead to the plateau, what we are going to do about it, and how we have overcome it.
It would be a good place to share any tips/research/advice regarding plateau's.
It is so frustrating when we hit one that is important to know we are not alone.
Look forward to hearing from others... |

Rep Power: 8 | | | I hit a plateau because I've hit that weight where I'm almost happy with my appearance, and have little motivation to keep going (after 1.3 years of weight-loss, I'm not surprised).
I'm eating at maintenance, but I'll probably start cutting down to get to my ideal weight by June. Mix up my eating and workouts too, that usually does the trick when I plateaued (too many vowels) before. |

Rep Power: 4 | | Thanks for sharing that matt...
Well im 30 and i currently weigh 173.8. I think i am just now about to hit a plateau.
Excercise ive been doing is roughly
- Weights full body 2/3 x wk
- Cardio 4 times a week including 1 day HIIT
- sometimes go for a 40-60min walk in evenings as well
Will wait another week to see what the scales say, and then depending on that may have to reasses things. |

Rep Power: 8 | | My weight loss seems to hit many plateaus, when in reality I know it is just me not sticking exactly to the plan. It seems I drop a few pounds at a time, then stay at that weight for a while (although I usually bounce up and down within a good 5 or 6 pound range), then I decide to get more serious about it, drop a couple more pounds, and the same thing happens again. I wish I could just stick with it long enough to keep losing until I got to my goal, but I don't seem to be able to do that. So I guess I'll just have to do it this way. Thats ok I guess. It is just taking significantly longer than it should. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I'm there right now, but it's my own fault, gotta get back to it. It seems when I work out really hard I gain weight. But I feel like I'm losing. Muscle mass maybe??? |

Rep Power: 0 | | This is my 4th week and I hit my PLATEAU in week 3 I was really working hard watching what I ate and working out everyday. When I got on the scale and saw I lost no weight after my hard work I became deflated this week I have watched what I ate and did no exercise and I lost 2lbs (woo hoo)
My total lost so far is 10lbs I really want to exercise again but I know when I do i'll plateau again which is really making me caution exercising again |

Rep Power: 3 | | I've been on a plateau for weeks now, even gaining weight. Because I've been relying mostly on diet. I'm gonna start doing cardio on a regular basis because I need to get serious about this. |

Rep Power: 4 | | UK Miss qt, it is frustrating some weeks when the scales just dont add up. I know i have times where i lose nothing after sweating blood and tears and on strict diet. Then i have a blow out on food and suddenly lose some. It doesnt always add up. But in the long run i think the excercise will help. Keep us posted how it goes...
Stancel... hope you break your plateau. Im sure adding cardio will help, and eating with a defecit.
Cherylf... mayby you are gaining muscle? If you keep it up, im sure things will even out and you will start losing....
Thanks for sharing guys. Its good to hear that others hit plateau's, and we can support each other | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
