Need advice/help/perspective

Hi,

I am mother of 2 kids, first one 2 1/2 yrs and second one is just 7 months old. I need tremendous amount of energy all day to tackle both full time. I weigh 150 LB (I use to weight 125-130Lb before my 1st pregnancy). My goal is to lose at least 10 pounds and max 20-30 pounds by Nov 1st. I am planning to join gym for just 3 months from tomorrow(aug 1st). I have limited time everyday for myself, since both kids demand constant attention. I will be able to spend max 1 hr in Gym everyday.

Someone please help me, how wisely I can utilize that time in gym. What kind of exercise, how long each exercise and in what order do I need to workout at gym which will help me to boost my energy and lose more calories to achieve the desire weight by nov 1st. I will be spending late afternoons at gym almost all weekdays.

Thanks

I cannot comment about gym time - but in my opinion since you are so busy you will benefit a lot by becoming more active outside of the time that you spend in the gym by somehow bringing activity into your everyday life. Otherwise there is the problem of what happens in three months time.... Do you regain lost weight?

Can you take your kids out walking or play with them in an active way? Can someone look after them for you while you do a short burst of activity - e.g. jogging or walking briskly to the shops for that matter.

There is a lot that we can do in the home. I have a treadmill - and I know other people with stationary bikes. We can play an exercise DVD (or video which can be bought really cheaply at charity shops these days and played on an old video recorder). We can buy light weights and do various exercises in the home too.

If you do not get many replies here it may be worth you posting again in the newcomer or on topic section. That is where we tend to expect to see this type of post.

Thanks for your ideas. Sorry, since I am newcomer I posted in the wrong place. I live in condo so I am limited with using exercise equiptmemts at home. Since its summer, I will try to find more ways to workout outside with my kids, btw, I just join 3 months gym and me and my hubby are planning to motivate each other for this three month and stay active as much as we can and our life long goal is to stay active and healthy.

Thanks
