Rep Power: 25 | | big guy don't worry about the weight loss seriously. If you think about it, to lose that lose even 3 lbs you need a 10,500 calorie deficit a week. That is a ton to cut. And if you still feel cheated then make sure you check your portion sizes adequately. I'm sure you know this, but eating healthy foods is only good for you in moderation. just keep that in mind. I started this year at 330, and i am down to 265 as of today, which is half of my goal and it took exactly half a year to reach it (this is the 26 week of the year). The first two months i lose 15 each, then i lose about 10 a month every sense, that's not even 3 lbs a week. it goes slow. remember that it was slow to come on, so make sure it is slow to come off. that way you have a much better chance of keeping it off. if you were to read my journal i hit tons of hiccups that i couldn't get past and BOOM! huge loss. Weight is fickle, lose a little hear lose not some much there lose a LOT here and so on. Just don't give up. this isn't biggest loser or sorts, you won't get those results in such a short amount of time, but you can achieve what they have done. Even though i'm 265 and only 5 foot 8 inches, i wear a large/xtra large shirt and a size 38 pant. That is nothing to scoff at even though i still have 65 lbs to go. let your body dictate the success and not the scale. I works out so much better that way. sorry for the loooong post. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Just checking in, another 5 pounds down in the last couple of weeks. I am still motivated but am quitting smoking right now too. I just hope I can still see some numbers dropping off with my new smoke free plan! ARGH!! Hope everyone is doing good. XO Skye |

Rep Power: 0 | | Well, it's been a while -- since April! But checking in to say that after a tricky few weeks (more travelling for family stuff -- which somehow magically turns into weight gain), I've had two weeks at home by myself and have slipped below the 210 mark!
In fact slipped well below -- just weighed in, and found myself at 204!!!
What's been working for me is big, hearty breakfasts, and very small evening meals, and nothing after sevenish. But that's a tricky regime to keep up when you're with family, so I don't know how well I'm going to be able to keep it up. But still -- it's a new low for me -- the lowest I've been all century! |

I have never smoked but my father did for like 20 years. When he quit he gained weight as he replaced a lot of the smoke cravings with food and snacking. Once he was smoke free for a few months he told me he started to feel better than he ever had though. He started to actually walk again, cause he had the lungs to do so. Then weight started to fall off of him and now he is 25 lbs lighter than when he quit smoking and has lower bloodpressure.

Rep Power: 0 | | can i be in the club, pretty please?
i can't believe i've let myself get to this point, but i weight 225 pounds and would love to lose at least 60 pounds by january. I know I need to get on it, and every morning I wake up thinking "this is the day" but then it turns into 'tomorrow' or after such-n-such event. Anyways, I really think tomorrow is going to be it because even my fat pants are getting tight. Need some support, people! Please see my Weight Loss Diary for full fat synopsis. |

Checking in for my weekly weigh-in. Although I really dont like having it on thursdays, it just seems like an odd day. So this next week I will changing my weigh ins to Monday. Monday gives me some extra incentive on the weekend to live "right"
Anyway I weighed in this morning at 289.8, I have now been eating right and exercising regularly for 4 weeks. I am very proud to have broken down into the 280's, it feels great.
I have a feeling that the 280's are going to go slow as I am really getting down to all "fat" weight. But that is ok, it will all be worth it.
Hope you are all doing well and have a great weekend. |

Rep Power: 10 | | Hey Everyone, Just checking in. I know I said I was going to change my weigh-in day to Monday but I decided to keep in consistently on Thursday. Glad to report that I am feeling good.
My latest battle has been hunger when I come home from work. I work a "second" shift and get off around 11:00 at night. I used to eat another full meal right before bed... Now I am having a small snack but I am usually still hungry... so I just go to bed but sometimes I dont sleep all that soundly with my tummy rolling around. Other than that particular part of the day I dont really struggle much.
Take care and I will check in on Thursday...

Checking in for my weekly weigh in. I was 283.2... so for whatever reason as far as the numbers are concerned I had a real good weight loss week. I was 289.8 last thursday so thats a loss of 6.6 lbs. I did not do anything real different than I have been doing other weeks.
I wont be surprised or disapointed if I have a real slow loss this week.
I have begun to get a few comments from people at work asking "are you losing weight?"... such a good feeling to know that it is beginning to be noticeable. Only adds fuel to the fire!
Running almost everyday now on a trail by my house. I run 1.25 miles then turn around and do a run/walk interval back for a total distance of 2.5 miles. Knees are holding up pretty good but once in awhile I give them a break and hit the local health club and do the eliptical, but it does not feel like I get near as good as a workout.
Thats it for now, Hope you all have a great 4th of July...
