Smile My Story. What I'm about to become.

Hi there everybody. My name is Jamie and I am a 17 year old male who's currently in grade 12. Now today was the day I finally looked in the mirror and accepted myself as I am. I feel better doing so, but I wanted to work on my weight of course and I've been thinking about this for a long time, especially seeing some pictures of me and my face.

Lets talk about how I look. I have a terrible posture and my back hurts and I must feel a need to straighten it but it just droops back down. I have a huge double-chin that just engulfs my entire neck (uck.. haha). I'm about 6'0 and weigh currently 255lbs. Im not entirely fat, im just a "big" guy. I hate being called this and I feel that this is the time to finally change; change for the final year in high school.

There's this girl that's been on my mind for a while and didn't realize until couple of days ago that I liked her a lot. There's a part of me that wants to lose weight for her, but mostly for myself; self pride.

I ordered a video called 10-Minute Trainer about a year ago and haven't gotten around to that.. sadly. I'm taking it slow right now, once every day until 5 - 7 days when I will continue to do it 2 times a day. Now I don't know about diets.. what I'm thinking about for the first month I'm going to change my eating habits and hopefully shrink that old stomach of mine. Smaller portions, less or no greasy foods and switch to grilled. After that then I will worry about calories.. maybe haha.

Well this is my story, and I will continue to update my progress. Thanks for reading my wall of text haha, and I would wish to have some buddies, just so I don't feel alone and we can talk about weight and anything else together .

I will update pictures in my signature or something and have that weight meter thing everyone has going :P. Also, glad to be on the forums

P.S. Day one was today. 89 days to go!

For Diet you go for online help or any fitness trainer. they provide good information.

It sounds like you have some great first steps planned.

Read the nutrition section - especially the sticky threads. That will really help you sort out your food. There is so much more to good nutrition than just counting calories. You can put the advice there into practice by logging your food and exercise into FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal.

hey thanks. totally appreciate and yes I'll most likely be taking Omega's advice and look through the nutrition stickies and what not.

Sorry everyone. I was hungover for a day (saturday) and didn't have a chance to work out. Today is day 5 since I only did a 10 minute workout last night which I dont want to count. I'll post a journal when i'm done.
