oh... and i got the measure wrong. hehe was making it a lot smaller then it was meant to be... so no wonder i was starving all day yesterday.

Rep Power: 0 | | | hey pinky!!! when i have a craving for somethin sweet i usualy have a piece of sugar free gum and that holds me off for a bit. And if it realy gets bad i allow myself 1/2 cup of chapmans cappichino frozen yogart!!! the thing with this diet is that you can cheat!!!!! but do it the smart way. make sure to measure and dont ever let youself go to high on the portions if you do this right you may have smaller results but you WILL have results!~!!!

Rep Power: 686550 | | how long have you been doing this secretlysize7?
Im wondering if it works well in the long term. I quiet like the 1200+ diet im on now because i can 'cheat' somewhat without breaking the diet. I can choose the foods myself more i suppose |

Rep Power: 0 | | | wishes I have been realy hard on the diet only about 9 months and i have cheeted LOTS!!!! but you just have to get back on track if you like the diet you have chosen then dont let anyone tell you diferent I use this one beacouse it works for me!!!! and i am not faithfull to it at all. i go on for 2 weeks and then off for 1 but that is working for me !!!! There are lots of chioces in the foods you eat I have herd that complaint alot on here (i LOVE food ) and if i could not eat to enjoy it what is the point you just have to figure out the foods your body needs and then you are on your way... LIKE me I am doing well eating the nonrefined starches in brown foods my body needs the whole grais to do well Pluss fruits and vegies in place of sweets i was a junk food junky and now after a yer i can do without if i want.
so you need to listen to your body and let it tell you what you need!!!!
later all Karrie

Rep Power: 686550 | | | Ahh Ive done some reading and apparently its a VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet). I think ill give it a miss - I would hate my body to go into starvation mode or crap out because of lack of nutrients etc (i do fairly hard core weights most days).
Im having a fair bit of sucess doing the 1200-1500 cal diet and feel like im eating all day as it is, and this way i get to cheat all the time so long as i dont go over my calorie goals. |

Rep Power: 686550 | | probably a fair few. Whenever you change your diet to a new one your body takes a bit to get used to it so drops lb left right and center |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Continuing? I noticed that this thread ended over the summer...has anyone continued this diet? I'm going to start it on Sunday and I wanted to see what long term results people have had.
Thanks! |

Rep Power: 0 | | New to the Rice Diet Hello everyone,
I am new to this website forum and couldn't resist on starting this Rice Diet.
I have been reading through all of the postings and thought that this would be a great diet for my wedding in 8 weeks.
I know that you can download an ebook of the book Rice Diet, but to avoid reading through everything, in short I was wondering if someone could list tips etc an a sample of the required foods to each category i.e. starch etc. or whether all starches can be used.
I did Michael Thurmonds 6 week body maker over last year and did tremendously but wanted to try something a little different this time.
Great job to all those who are having success.
Many thanks, Flower |

Rep Power: 0 | | Started Today Hello everyone,
Well started the Rice Diet this morning, and thank goodness as I celebrated a little too much last night with NYE.
Have purchased book from Amazon and am waiting on delivery. Found a few great websites dedicated solely to the Rice Diet so that is a great help. I also have a girlfriend doing the diet with me as a buddy which is great motivation and we start walking every day once the detox is over.
Had 2 wholemeal bread with a banana for breakfast this morning, although I am going to try and find a lower sodium content bread as each slice contained 116.5gram of sodium.
Some of the menus I have come accross look quite good although being in Australia some ingredients are hard to find ir not at all.
Would love to hear from anyone else.
Cheers and Happy New Year.

Rep Power: 0 | | | Fast weightloss results meaning 2lb a week? As if you lose more than that its just muscle.
Anyone can lose 2lb of fat a week without having to go on some boring rice diet, its just making it harder for yourself.

Rep Power: 0 | | | Hello everyone, well day one over and I've lost 3.52 pounds so I'm sticking to it even for a short time to kick start things - if things keep going this way and I feel ok and not to bored with the food, I'll keep it up. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Rice Diet lost 7.48 pounds in 3 days After day 3 and lost 7.48 pounds - a very easy diet to follow.
I am a firm believer that no matter which diet you choose to go with, if you are dedicated to loose weight (especially with exercise) you will, loose weight. Some people, perhaps like myself, use these types of diets to 'kick start' their weight loss until they can move into plain healthy eating. Others are happy to make the lifestyle change and keep with the program.
Good luck to everyone,
