Because you have to follow the diet strictly ... cheesecake is not on the diet. Be sure not to add any salt to your diet also. That makes a difference.

Hey guys glad to see this thread has stayed alive. when red started it all we had was the artical from the mag. now as a birthday gift i have recived the rice diet solution book. And I love it . There are so many helpful things in it and a ton of recipies I agree that this can be BORRING but spice it up with herbs and spices just NO SALT i have found that if you miss the saltyness then try lemon or use sun dried tomatoes on your pasta and rice its great just get the ones with no oil . So after a terrible summer I am back on track with this and doing well starting again at 335 i am now at 323 after 5 days so i will come on and post some recipies and my results on regular basis!!!!
Enjoy and rice on!!!!!!!!!!

16.28 pounds in 17 days

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to post how I was finding this diet. To date I have lost 16.28 pounds in 17 days. I have not had any cravings what soever and haven't had any problems. Not only did the pounds come off but substancial inches also came off.

Once you have gotten through your initial week and are used to what you can and cannot eat you can vary your menus quite alot. I received the book a week after starting and it has some great information including menus in it.

Like I have said before, it may not be everyone's 'cup of tea' and bland but once you find something that is good for you and you commit yourself to it, it will work.

Good luck to everyone,

Cheers, Flower

Hi Sammy,

I have been on the diet for 23 days and lost a total of 16.28 pounds but more than that I have lost at least 2+ dress sizes and have not done any exercise whatsoever. I have not had any cravings at all or any side effects like headaches etc.

There is one website if you do a google seach for 'the rice way' you will find it very useful. It goes into everything you need i.e. which kind of foods and quantities etc.

If anything, give it a try and if you don't like it try something else.

Good luck, Flower

Hi Sammy,

Well I initially was just going to be on until my wedding in 5 weeks, but I am so happy with the results that I might stay on it until my end goal weight which is another 57 pounds. I'll see how I go. I only set small goals, each 10 kilos until I reach that and then reset my goal - it doesn't make the end goal sound so far away. I would hate to think how much I would have lost if I actually did some exercise.

Sammy, it really isn't that hard - I looked into every website I could find listing the pros and cons and thought why not give it a go even for a week - well you saw how much I lost that first week, I was blown away.

It really isn't a boring diet, I don't miss the meat all that much because you can do so much with everything else; and once a week when I can have my protein, if I want too I can spoil myself a little and be a bit fancy and it doesn't matter.

Good luck and continued success.

Flower

Hi Sammy,

Do a search on 'the rice way' website that will give you all of the portions and which foods you can have - it's a brilliant site if you don't have the book. I lost 11 pounds in my first 7 days of detox but not only that but inches. 1 cup is simply 1 measuring cup or 250ml I think.

There are so many things that you can eat - the easiest way to describe the diet - eating unprocessed foods and good carbs. Either look at that website or the book and that will tell you all the foods that you can eat, mainly it includes fresh fruit, vegetables and carbs (including rice, beans, potatoes etc).

Good luck.

This diet looks interesting... I might just try this as some way to pass the time and see what happens.

Looks like it works for most people.

Did you make this rice diet up?

Did you make this diet up? Sounds pretty sensible.

My weight loss goal is to lose 70 pounds. I started at 287 and now I'm down to 270. So that about 17 pounds and 30 inches on different parts of my body. I did that in about 15 days with some natural products.

I found out about the products from a video on youtube.

Where did the rice diet come from?
