Rep Power: 0 | | Pills??? I have aserious question that I'm dying to ask. I desperately want to lose a significant amount of weight and I've tried everything. I have been diagnosed with Poly Cyctic Ovarian Syndrome and this makes it very difficult to lose weight unless I am medicated to treat the symptoms(one being unexplained weight gain). I am currently taking Metformin, an insulin pill that combats the symptoms, and Phentomine, to surpress any apetite. Those along with a five day/two hour workout plan didn't really do anything. At that time I was also down to two meals a day, no food in between. Now, I haven't really had the energy to excersize (still on those meds) and I'm eating only one meal a day (no food in between, except for milk and possibly orange jiuce with calcium). I know that it is said to lose weight, you actually should eat a lot of the right things, but when I did that, I still gained weight. At this point I am starting to lose weight on my, less eating, less excersize deal. However, all around exercise would speed up my results and allround make me healthier. I suppose my questions are; what else should I do, and is it safe to take other diet pills?? Such as Dexatrim?? I want something to help burn the food and raise my motabolism. Thanks for all your help! Cheers! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I've used Dexatrim in the past and have been very happy with the results. While on it, I found I was less hungry and could eat a lot more than regular and still lose weight on a regular basis. I'm not sure how it would counteract with other medicines, however, and you can't have any caffiene while on it. Hope this helps!!! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I tried dexatrim and it worked (but i wasn't really eating and I was VERY VERY active at the time). The thing I am worried about mostly is that I heard it wasn't good for you b/c it could cause serious heart problems. Was this an issue?? |

Rep Power: 0 | | Honestly, I couldn't tell you. My heart's been abnormal with constant palpatations for the past couple years, and so I'm not the best person to ask. I did notice an increased heart rate while using the pills, but given my medical history, I can't fully associate one with the other. |

Rep Power: 0 | | As far as the Dexatrim, the increased heart rate may have been caused or helped by it, as it is labeled as a side effect, I think......hmmmm, I haven't really look anything up on Desatrim, I'll check it out, and ask my doctor of course if it's right for me:-). Thanks! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I would not take dexatrim with phentermine, it basically causes you to lose water weight and phentermine can dehydrate you as it is. I don't think it is safe, but if you ask your pharmacist they can tell you for sure. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
