Rep Power: 0 | | | I have some questions Ok let me give you a little background.
I have a bad matabolizm, it started in 7th grade. Anyway i was 5,7 220 the beginning of my junior year, i went on the starvation diet and was about 160 by te end of junior year. Since then i had a period (college) where i went back up to 210lbs. I have excerised and have been eating well for the last 2 years. I am 5,9 155lbs.
Here is the problem. I just got married and am going on a honeymoon in Sept. and i want to look great. I am trying to lean up and loose the gut i still have.
My diet as of 2 week ago. No Breakfast, No Lunch, Big dinner. Weekends bigger lunch and dinner.
My new diet is
8 a.m. 2 servings of whey protien 12oz. milk (about 300 calories 50g of protein.)
12 noon 2 servings of whey protien 12oz. milk (about 300 calories 50g of protein.)
Dinner 4:30-6:30 Depending if i worked out that day. High protien meat chicken, fish, vegatble. Balanced meal overall.
Workout:
Monday: Lifting, running 1.5 hours
Wed. Lifting, running 1.5 hours
Sat. Lifting, running 1.5 hours
The only problem is I GAINED 6 LBS. THE FIRST WEEK.
Whats going on.
Someone please help i need to look good by sept 16th |

Rep Power: 0 | | | its called muscle. It weighs more than fat.. and with the routine you are in.. your gonna build some good muscle. Running and lifting is good for that.

Congratulations on your impending honeymoon! Where are you going??
As far as the weight gain, where are you in your menstrual cycle? Could you be retaining water? Also... is the whey drink a protein only shake? Is there any fiber in it? Could you be a little, um, constipated?
You're getting a lot of protein and seem to be working out a lot building muscle mass. How much water are you drinking?

The protein shake is pretty much all protein only 3 carbs and 1 gram of fat.
I am keeping myself regular also, As for the water I usually drink maybee 40-50 oz besides the shakes every day. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Make sure you're eating enough...you should at least be getting 1200 calories. If your body doesn't get enough food, it just starts hanging on to it, making it harder to lose.
You didn't say, but are you drinking any water? Water is super important for weight loss, especially when you're exercising.
If you're making positive changes and you gain after to first week, keep in mind that your body is still adjusting to these changes. Now if you keep gaining six pounds every single week, you might need to change something lol but I think you will find that that doesn't happen. Just don't let that defeat you.
Also...I don't see any fruit in your diet!
