Find yourself some hobbies to take your mind off the not running... as long as you are keeping yourself busy.. perhaps you won't want to eat...
Since you'll be sitting, what about upper body exercises?
good luck and hope you mend fast...

Rep Power: 26 | | Don't give up!! I broke my leg in January and had to have surgery to have a rod inserted in my bone. I had to stay off of it for a very long time and it still isn't completely healed. You can still eat healthy and make sure you get in all of your water. I know that it seems like the end right now, but I can promise you that it isn't. I managed to lose about 15 pounds after I broke my leg. Don't stop posting here. The people on this forum is what kept me going when I was feeling as hopeless as you are right now. We are here for you!

Rep Power: 9 | | | Hang in there, Jordysmom! I know it will be tough, but you can do it! In addition to doing the upper body exercises, maybe you can find a website that shows you how to do exercises sitting in a chair. Seems like I've seen something similar for people who have desk jobs. And you know we're all here for you. Keep talking to us! Wishing you all the best with your surgery.
