Talking How does this all work?

I am starting to attempt to loose some weight!
My boyfriend and I are going to Cuba at Christmas and I am really motivated to loose weight for that trip! Right now I am 205 lbs and 5'6". This is the biggest I have ever been. About five years ago, I was 200, lost 50 and then slowly gained it back.
When I lost the weight before it was through Jenny Craig. It worked really well but it's so expensive! I am just not in a financial place right now to use it. One of the things that really helped me with Jenny Craig was their online forum. There were many of us that spoke regularly and encouraged each other!
I found this forum and I hope to find the same type of support here...
So how does it work? It all seems so overwelming on this site with lots of threads to lots of posts???
Any tips would help!

Hello and Welcome!!!

It's pretty free-spirited here. You post in the threads you like, you start a diary that people can come and read and support you etc...

I personally like all the little trackers that everyone has...they help me see other peoples results and remind me that I can do it too!

I am a few weeks into joining this forum. what i did i read a little from each group just to get the feel of what everyone was talking about. then i just started posting in a few of them. I love it because you can get support 24/7 and if you have any question post them and some one will answer. Don't let it overwhelm you just think of it as one big happy family who is there for one another.

I like the diary idea too, it's great to go back and read...to see what days or times you get the munchies, etc. It's been helpful to me, and I've only been doing this a few days.
