Rep Power: 21 | | | Do you buy smaller clothes? Does anybody else do this? I buy smaller clothes, like one size smaller then is comfortable to motivate myself to get into them. I do it mainly with jeans, and expensive jeans so I have incentive. After I had my son my mom bought me new jeans that seemed hopeless, they were a size 20 and I was a 22. But, I got into them. Then it was an 18, now I'm in those and thinking of getting online and ordering a 16 for motivation. I was just wondering if this is a weird quirk about me or if other people who struggle with weight do this also. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I'm guilty Yes I tend to pick up really cool clothes that they don't even make in my size so I can be like well, if you want to fit into those Zebra Print Strech Jeans then girlfriend get with it! Yes my fashion sense has alot to be desired, but I totally get what you are saying. I have a drawer of fat clothes that don't fit any more because they are too big and a drawer of cool skinny clothes that I want to be fitting into but they are just too small. Ocassionally when I am having a "skinny day" (you know the ones where you feel like you must've dropped a size overnight) I might try them on only to realize I still need to lose some more weight for those heights of bad 80's punk fashion! (maybe it's a good thing I can't fit into them, how old am I again?) haha |

Rep Power: 0 | | UK size 30! That is pretty dern small. I can't wait to hit 30" waist! Just 8 more inches to go! EEK! That's alot better than the 45"s I started with though! I do lots of sit ups but you can't tell with all of the excess fat on my belly. I have a real problem with all of my extra weight staying in the middle, if I can just sort that out I would be fine!! |

Rep Power: 51 | | I don't buy smaller jeans, but I did buy a shirt that I can squeeze into, but will only look good on me when I lose at least another 10 lbs |

Rep Power: 17 | | I still have some flab around the belly - darned residual body fat! I'm aiming to maintain or even bulk weight for the next six months or until I'm happier - then I'll get back to tackling that the left overs of my beer belly.
It is great - finding nice small clothes on the peg that fit just nice, but the real fight is going to be keeping it up long term. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | i sorta do something like this but not often... because I really can't afford it. ^___^;; For example, I was a size 28. And now I'm smaller than a 26. But not yet a 24. I bought a 24 knowing I will fit into them in a month or two. I will probably not buy a smaller size with every size I drop. That'd be just way too expensive for me. O_O;; |

Rep Power: 0 | | I have done this as well. I'm 5'7 and a half, and wear an 18. I have some 16's stashed that I pull out every now and then!
maleficent, you could always shop ebay! No lines or people! Hee hee...
I love ebay. I'm not a big fan of shopping either. Too much hassle. |

Rep Power: 21 | | | I only shop online for clothes. I'm just too shy to go into a shop and buy big huge clothes. I went to American Eagle a few weeks ago to get a hoodie and I was in the guys section to get a XX and one of the sales guys was like "oh, shopping for your boyfriend?" and I was like, "none of your business." I bought my hoodie and got the heck out of there. Hello, obviously I can't buy anything on the womens side. And what poor fool would date me? lol. |

Rep Power: 21 | | Alright, I just did the deed and bought a pair of size 16's online, and no stretch denim either, this is the real stuff...lol, although stretch denim is so forgiving of our sins.
has anybody noted the new skinny jeans look, YUCKY! I hate it already...I hope it goes away.
And Mal, thank you for trying to discourage my depreciating attitude, but I'm afraid men look right through me to the skinny chics standing behind me. Either that or I'm ugly and fat on the inside too, either way I havn't dated in 2 years, havn't even been asked out. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
