Ok so me and my b/f argue about this alot and i want to find out for sure.....

Soft pretzels the ones you order at the mall are they really bad for you?

If they are/ even if they aren't are they bad if that is ALL u have for lunch (w/some dippin cheese) Now on the other hand is it better than when i was eating 2 dbl cheeseburgers from McDonalds or is it pretty much the same thing......I'm a total Nutrition dummy and i need your help w/this one

Maybe if you get it without butter/dipping cheese, etc.? And yes, it's gotta be better than McDonald's burgers!

Ooh, I love the soft mall pretzels... where I live it's the Auntie Anne's chain. Same for you? Their nutrition info is here. Most of the pretzels seem to be about 300-500 calories each. A McDonald's double cheeseburger is about 460 calories, so about the same as one pretzel (!) in that respect, but it's got a TON more fat than a pretzel. So a pretzel is certainly better than eating two double cheeseburgers, but probably not the healthiest lunch choice you could make.

Edit: One McDonald's double cheeseburger gives you 55% of the daily recommended value for saturated fat! That should be illegal!
