Question what's the best way to lose the belly

I know that i am losing weight. i have lost 2-4 a week average. and i am also keeping up with measurements so i know that i am losing. The problem is i want to "see" the results. not just feel them. I can see mostly in my legs. what is the best way to lose the belly fat? I kickbox 3 times a week, cardio 5 times a week for at least 20min and 40-45 min if i have the time. and i am doing the 1200 cal a day. i am below my first goal mark. made it yesterday actually. i have a trip planned and am wanting to lose as much as i can before i go. help me everyone! i want to buy new clothes to take but what good is that if i am not gonna look great anyway?

I would recommend adding some weight lifting to your routine and drop cardio a bit. sounds like your doing cardio 8 times weekly, I dont know much about kickboxing but Id consider it cardio also. add weight lifting, drink lots of water. And 2-4 pounds weekly is great progress. sounds like your doing everything right, just keep at it and youll see the difference, if you really dont notice it then take a picture of yourself every month or so and youll definitely see the difference.

i have to agree with errtu 100% ... i did kickboxing for awhile, and i know i got more of a workout there than spending 3 hours doing cardio on equipment ... plus, it adds a bit of strength training. It's hard to "see" results since changes are gradual ... looking in the mirror every day won't allow you to see the grand scheme of things ... others will see the difference, but a camera is definately the way to go

I'm totally there with you jjbswest... I feel amazing, and the scale shows results, but i put on my bathing suit today to see how it looked, and i don't quite see the results i want yet.. mostly in my belly and buns... I would appreciate any advice as well.

I have these dvd's w/ 8 min abs and buns and legs and arms.... and they are pretty decent workouts... my goal right now is to do the buns and abs each day and see if i get any visual results... or at least build up some muscle underneath that layer of flub.

i got a trip comin up soon too. going to family reuinion in arizona in march. its definately been one of my main motivators lately. dam i wish i had been taking pictures all along. the only people who have said i look good are those i bump into at the grocery store who havent seen me like in 2 yrs. my husband has not complimented me even once on my 40 pound loss over the past year. it sure sucks.

Well never too late to start, do it today or tomorrow. and if your husband happens to see the pictures then you'll get some compliments, and if he doesn't then you have the right to whack him. Not sure what sort of shape he's in but maybe he's jealous lol. well wonderwoman I think you look good........or something like that. Have fun in Arizona.

Ya know I will never understand some men..that does stink..but good for you for doing it for you..who cares what he thinks..but ya know he is probably jealous & worried because you are getting hotter and hotter by the minute..major threat. Its just too bad he couldnt say..hey honey you look awesome ... but sometimes i think they just dont know how to be sensitive..God forbid!

lol stop, i think u are right. he is probably worried younger men will start lookin at me soon (he is gonna be 50 this year).

btw on the belly thing, i saw something on tv recently that said if you were overweight for more than a couple years the skin wont bounce back even after you lose weight. now im mad that i waited to lose weight - i was only overweight for 3 yrs! so i think no matter what i do im still stuck with this belly (lot of extra skin).

now i know why celebs are in such a hurry to lose the weight after having kids! if only i knew then what i know now...
