I have heard to drink 64 oz, plus 8oz for every 25 lbs you are overweight. But i know it's a struggle for me to drink the 64, so that's what i shoot for each day, knowing that in other beverages and such i'm getting a little extra water...

Thumbs up

Hi everyone,
Thanks for being here!
I joined WW 6 days ago(again) . I lost 1.2 pounds at weigh in.
At home my scale shows I lost 5 pounds. I wasn't sure whether to be
happy or disappointed. I chose to be happy because I lost instead of
gained. This time around I'm going need to all the support I can get. I'm
glad this site is here. We need to keep each other going. Today my
goal is to drink water. I haven't been Keeping up with water intake. I
must honestly say, I'm not to keen on water. I would rather be drinking something else with a lot more flavor. So far this morning, before my coffee, I managed to drink 32oz.
I hope to keep it up.
You will probably hear alot from me. I'm at home recovering from major
surgery.
I have lots of time on my hands.

Sparkling water, I forgot about that. Tea is mostly water. Now I
have a little diversity to enjoy in this element called water.

Thanks you guys.

What do you think of the WW P...t/F..x System? I sometimes slip up on hungry
day and go over them. This usually sets me back.

I've been in Weight Watchers on an off for the past 2 years. I originally lost 25 but then put it all back on when I started college last year. I rejoined last fall and have lost the 25 pounds again, and I'm not stopping or letting it get back on again! Weight Watchers is a great program if you do what they say. If you don't...you won't lose. It's really simple, but it's all in your mindset. If you do join, make sure you journal...that is the key. They tell you to drink 6 8oz. glasses of water daily. I go above that though and drink 1/2 my body weight in fluid ounces daily. I weigh 142 so I'm drinking 71 ounces of water a day, more if I exercise. If you join with a friend it really helps. I go with my mom and we set up incentives for one another. The first one we had was this...whoever loses 10% of their weight first wins a free pedicure on the other person. Good luck and stick to the program if you do decide to join...You'll do fine!

whatever you decide to do, make sure that it is something that will help you change your lifestyle, instead of a quickie fad diet. You want to build something you can sustain and keep your health going =) I would concentrate on eating the right things in small portions 5-6 times a day, drinking lots of water, and exercise... I don't know alot about programs, but if you can find one that will help you do that, go for it =)

Weight Watchers

Anyone on this plan?
I have a client who lost a substantial amount of weight on it. I'm more interested in Weight Watchers online, due to my hectic work and school schedule I'm just afraid that I'll miss a bunch of meetings that they have. Any thoughts or comments are greatly appreciated. TIA!

Hi soon2bemarried, I am doing ww and it’s been quiet good. There is a ww @ home kit that you can get. You get your books ECT sent to your home and you just give them your loss each week. You are also able to ask questions via email or ringing them. Hope this helps.

Weight watchers recipes

Garlic Chicken Kiev
3 tablespoons reduced-fat margarine, softened
1 tablespoon snipped fresh chives or parsley
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
6 small skinless boneless chicken breast halves (about 3 pounds)
2 cups corn flakes, crushed (about 1 cup)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 cup buttermilk or 1/4 cup skim milk

Mix margarine, chives and garlic powder; shape into rectangle, 3 x 2 inches. Cover and freeze until firm, about 30 minutes.

Remove excess fat from chicken; flatten each chicken breast half to 1/4-inch thickness between wax paper or plastic wrap.

Heat oven to 425 degrees F.

Cut margarine mixture crosswise into 6 pieces. Place 1 piece on center of each chicken breast. Fold long sides over margarine; fold up ends and secure with wooden pick.

Mix corn flakes, parsley and paprika. Dip chicken into buttermilk; lightly and evenly coat with corn flake mixture. Place chicken breasts, seam sides down, in a 9-inch square pan sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake uncovered until chicken is done, about 35 minutes.

Microwave Directions: Prepare chicken as directed. Arrange coated chicken breasts, seam sides down, on microwavable rack in microwavable dish. Microwave uncovered on HIGH 4 minutes; rotate dish 1/2 turn. Microwave until chicken is done, 4 to 6 minutes longer. Let stand uncovered 5 minutes.

Serves 6 - 4 WW points per serving.
