Paying for weight loss??

I have a question for everyone. Do you guys find it more beneficial to join a weight loss plan i.e. Weight Watchers, E-Diets, Zone, etc. or winging it by yourself? I've tried L.A. Weightloss (HORRIBLE...at least for me) and Weight Watchers. WW was great but I'm searching for something new, maybe E-Diets? Has anyone tried it? I'm not sure if it's worth wasting money for weight loss...

I myself have tried LA Weightloss a couple years ago and also had the same response. I had no luck. What I found helpful is joining a gym with a friend (who is also truly commited) and working out together. However i have since also hired a personal trainer who is definately worth every penny. I dont know about you but my life is way too busy for writing things down everyday and counting calories. I eat healthy and exercise. Best of luck to you in whatever you choose!

Some years ago I joined Jenny Craig and I lost like 60lbs. The problem was that I got so bored of the food, and it didn't really teach me how to eat on my own so I ended up gaining the weight back plus more. Diets like Jenny Craig are just based off a calorie counting system, so if you can just count calories on your own, then its basically the same thing.

I'm not saying that those programs don't work, if it helps you, then great.

But you can go to Free Diet Plans at SparkPeople and they will give you a calorie range that you should have, help set up your meal plans, or you can just use it to make your own meal plans, and its absolutely free. Plus they have loads more on that site that will help you lose weight. It's like the equivalent of e-diets but its free, and its absolutely just as good.
