Is 4 months enough?

I'm attempting to find the most dramatic weight loss possible within a timeframe of 4 months. I'm someone who will really buckle down to something if there is a motive. I didn't have a motive until rescently. I know alot've programs like to beat around the bush and say "You can eat MORE and still lose weight" as if it's a selling point. To be honest I would fast entirely if there weren't health issues in that method. My desire to loose fat asap is strong than my craving for food, at this point I can honestly discard it entirely (I have been forcing myself lately to eat atleast once a day). I have a bench, weights, and equipment for cardio at my house. So far my plan is doing cardio twice a day; earlier (around 8am) and later (around 7pm) with just enough nourishment to keep my going. People have been telling me different things my whole life; "If you barely eat you'll go into starvation mode!" "If you eat one meal a day you'll lose weight" "If you spread your small meals out, you'll lose weight" "If you spread your small meals out, you'll store fat".

So really, I'm ready to cut the crap. I want the fastest and most effective way to lose this within the next few months as long as it doesn't involve surgery, and as long as it doesn't literally kill me. I know this sounds stubborn, erratic, and impatient (which is a bad way to start off as a new member) but that's how I am with these things. For anyone who read this far; thank you for your time.

whats your current weight and what are you looking to lose?

Forum Mother Mode:
this is a support forum - part of support is telling a person when they are doing something that will be detrimental to their long term success....

you really wantt o make changes that you can live with long term -- by just having enough to get by - i would fear that you are setting yourself up for unhealthiness...

what's with the 4 month time frame?

even losing weight at 1 percent a week - or 2 lbs a week - in four months that's about 32 lbs -- which is further along thna you are today.

Pace yourself is what i"m trying to say..

and welcome to the forum

yeah i agree with mal.. you want the weight to stay off forever - a lifestyle change not a dramtic drop followed by a dramatic gain

Before I was probably eating slightly less than I do now, skipping meals, and maintaining weight. I consider myself proof of the ability to put your body into starvation mode. I think it sets you up for failure, and I agree that it's not something you want to do.

I was also going to mention how losing it too fast will cause you to most likely gain it all back. Its extremely hard to keep it off if you do it in such a way.
