Rep Power: 0 | | Newbie Needs Serious Help (Teenager) Hello there everybody,
Let me start out by saying Hello and hopefully I can find the right motivation from people around here. Here is my delima:
I'm currently 17 turning 18. I'm 6'2" and I weigh 250lbs. I'm over weight and most of all, I have like man boobs (funny but I hate it) I'm addicted to fast food because it is so convient. I need serious help. If someone can direct me to the right way... I'll give you my life.
I've tried sticking to the right stuff, for some reason I have no motivation. If I can somehow have some here, maybe older, male or female that I can buddy up with or something to always tune into and tell them my day-day things, it would help.
Any advice to the desperate person! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | you are in the right place =) If you start a journal (you may have already and i just haven't looked in the past few hours) then you can guarantee that there will be people checking it out and helping you out. You can set your preferences so that when someone comments it sends you an email - that in itself is HUGE motivation!!!!
You said that you are addicted to fast food b/c it's convenient... i have a few suggestions for some quick and easy food options... first of all, try to eat 5-6 times a day... having snacks between meals will help out alot as far as boosting your metabolism... these snacks can be really quick and easy - carry an apple with you, or some granola bars, yogurt is also really good. As for you other meals, if fast food is what you tend to do, check out what some of the healthier options are... you can often find their websites with nutritional information.... just cutting back a bit there will help.
Other meal ideas - sandwiches (like turkey or ham) are fabulous... so are salads... Lean Pockets are my BEST FRIEND!!!! they have so many great flavors, and i keep a couple in the freezer at school and then in like 5 minutes i have a quick lunch.
I hope some of this helps... also, if you look through other people's journals you will find tons of good advice and great meal options =)
Good luck!!!! |

DaTimmz, you will find that the longer you stay away from fast food the less it will appeal to you.
I cant eat fast food anymore because it physically makes me feel sick and tired and generally down, same with sodas.
Try to stick with a good diet and exercise for about two weeks and i guarantee you that the resulting weight loss with be all the motivation you need. Maybe try taking a picture of yourself with you when you exercise. Visuals provide good motivation. |

Rep Power: 0 | | I will be starting my own journal now for everyone to check up on me! This is something I have to stick with. The name of my journal is going to be "Teenage Weight Loss - Denny".
