I definitely look at measurements more than weight, because I can only lose 10 pounds, but those inches are what really change me.
Congrats niapage!

Rep Power: 2129 | | I have lost 40 pounds now!!! (over 14 weeks)
My body fat percentage has gone from 37,5 percent down to 26,8 percent
And 6.5 inches smaller around my waist!
And I have gained 4 pounds of muscles!!
I am getting leaner, happier and stronger every week! I did not count calories, starve myself but ate extremely healthy and began exercising.
I will take pictures this week and post them in the before, during thread to show the progress ...

Rep Power: 32 | | My first brag... Okay, so I'm on day 7 of my diet and here's what I have to brag about:
I set a goal of reaching 254 (10 pounds loss) by December 8. It's December 1 and I've reached 253! I've lost my first ten pounds and passed my first goal 1 week early!

Rep Power: 66078 | | So it's official. I've lost almost 11 lbs. since this Thursday! From my 187 lb. weight on 11-29, I'm down to 176.5. Yaaaaaaaaaaay! I can't believe how quickly the weight is falling off!
I'm so excited. I've decided if I ever get down to having a flat stomach (or even *gasp* a six-pack), I think I'll get my belly button pierced. Or at least buy some midriff shirts. I've always wanted to wear those!! |

Rep Power: 66078 | | I'm definitely being healthy about it, because I don't believe in dieting and I have serious doubts about the long-term effects of dieting on your metabolism and overall health. Since it's my first week and I've increased my water intake, a lot of it is probably retained water anyway. I have no doubt it'll slow down here in a few days, heh...
Besides all that, this isn't just about weight loss for me - since I'm trying to get in shape for the Navy, I'm also having to worry about bodybuilding and stamina, so I know that fuel is important. It's just impossible to starve yourself and hit a treadmill every day. I'd fall out.
I'm just eating six small healthy meals a day instead of two huge greasy ones and hitting the gym between 30 minutes to an hour six times a week. Lots of water, no fast food. Sensible diet and regular exercise, just like everyone always said. Amazing what common sense will do for somebody's waist line, yeah?

Rep Power: 18096 | | | I originally gave myself to September 1st 2008 to achieve my goal of loosing 82 lbs. Since sept 1 2007 I have lost a total of 36 lbs. At this rate I should be at my goal by about april-may. I will be able to wear a bikini this summer! My pants size has dropped from 16 to 12-13 and my shirt size has dropped from XL to M. Lost a total of 22.25 inches so far!!

Rep Power: 160705 | | | Our office has gotten a nice little mound of goodies... 4 pounds of assorted chocolates, a tin of cashews, a tin of popcorn, assorted things basket, and the grand daddy of it all are the two 10-in Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes... one plain, one turtle cheesecake. My brain is saying, "Eat one slice of the turtle cheesecake... it's just ONE slice.... how is one piece of anything so bad? It's even got that nice swirl of chocolate mousse/yummy goo on top. Go on... it's Monday... you can just scale back the rest of the week." And I'm firmly sticking to my guns that I am not going to go out there and eat a slice of cheesecake that is estimated to have 1000 calories in ONE slice. I may take a piece home and share it with my friend who is visiting but I will not have more than three reasonable bites. I think this is definitely a food conquering accomplishment because in years past I would have chocked it up to the holidays and say why the hell not. But not this year!
