Just starting

Hello Everyone,

Well today I received my labs results, they were normal.

Now I am hoping to get the diet plan SOON, so I can get started.
I am going to only go to the gym 3 days a week, 20mins on the treadmill with weight training.

Good thing I re~weighed & took my measurements this morning;

I am also going to set Goals for myself:
Yes with rewards....LOL

I hope I can do this in the 12week program...let me change that....
I will & can do this in 12 weeks

I think I will unofficially start the diet this weekend...
cutting out carbs, fats etc
Just eating.. fat free yogurt, small amounts of meat, veggies & fruit.
I do not drink diet soda, can we drink diet green tea ?????

Any help or information would be greatly appreciated

Hi and welcome Barbara,
You have made a great decision joining , good for you!
You can do this, the best tip I can give you is, stick to the program 100% and watch those pounds and inches melt away.
Good luck!

Barbara-A big hello and welcome to the forum & the program. Annie's advice is good. I find sticking to the program 100% is the only way for me. Don't obsess with the scales as the mirror will tell it all! Too much exercise on Cohen's might sabotage you as you will not be eating much & it might make you very hungry. I am waiting until after goal to start an exercise program.
Best of luck and good for you starting a diary. Let it all hang out in your diary. I have found huge support in mine & this has helped me the most.
Cheers, Cate.

Hi Folks,

I just registered a few minutes ago and somehow found myself directed to this thread... suppose its for us newbies. I've been on a Cohen's plan since February and have lost 30 pounds... have another 50 to go... been a bit slow but I do deviate every few weeks or so (not majorly but still...) have dropped inches though, even when the scale doesn't move much...

Have been "lurking" on this forum for some time and just decided to "go public"... enjoyed reading everyone's posts on successes especially and on recipes.

Glad you're here!

PS How do I get and use this ticker thing?

Barbara, welcome! Good luck with your diet. It really is a great plan... as long as you stick to it.

Definitely check with your consultant about exercise. You might find it a challenge with the reduced food quantities...

Welcome Barbara!

I have been doing the plan since February and having been exercising 3-4x per week at Curves with no apparent disadvantages... but the program does caution to keep it to moderate exercise if you've been exercising prior to the program and to moderate it to prevent excessive hunger. I've also read that walking is very acceptable exercise. Good luck with the program and do keep us posted as to your progress!

Best,
Debbie
