so they're not related? I've signed up to petecohen.tv now anyhow and he makes a lot of sense... so we'll see... sorry to go off topic in this forum...
It seems to me that Australians are very health-concious people.. and take thier weight-loss very seriously - not to be fooled by fads etc... why do think that is? is it the weather that helps you all think straighter...?

Z | No it's not related.
Australians like most developed countries eat too much and move too little which is the reason for dieting, we are no different from these other countries and we are no different in trying out diets galore. I think though after trying so many fad diets you do eventually stumble on the one that works best for you and for this mob here it happens to be Dr Cohens - lifestlye Clinics.
Good luck with your choice.
Sam

Yes this site is still being used. Are you on Cohens? Cohens has its own forum and there are quite a few of us on there. Just look under "weight loss methods"

Rep Power: 7598 | | | Hi Susan, Cohen's works if you follow it 100%. I will provide you with any support I can. I completed Cohen's last year & lost 36kgs in 28 weeks. I maintained that for 6months, following the maintenance guidelines provided by my clinic. It has only been the last 2 months really that I let my guard slip & the maintenace principles went out the window. I have gained 7.5kg from my lowest weight. As of today I am back on my initial program. This time I will lose the weight, do re-feed again & follow the guidelines. That does not mean I cannot have a sweet or a glass of wine when I finish. It means I will follow their sage advice. Everything I have been told by Cohen's has been absolutely spot-on. It's just that I chose to ignore it. Now I have learned a valuable lesson. I plan on getting this weight off again (only 7.5kgs this time-not 36) & keeping it off forever!
All the best with your decision. I am very confident in the Cohen's program. It is a Lifestyle decision & requires determination & commitment. Bit like a happy marriage really! Cheers, Cate.
