thank you cate and nomoreweighting for your kind words, i wish you both well with your goals.I know we will be successful.
I remember i couldnt sleep waiting for my plan, i had watched my mum do the plan (pretty much melting away before my eyes) and i had to save up i was so anxious and impatient and so green with envy.
Well i'm on day 7 and no cheats.
talk with you all soon.
I hope your plan arrives soon nomoreweighting.
while i think of it do you know the formula they used to figure out your daily water requirements?

It's here

Hi everyone,
My plan arrived TODAY!!! Myself and a good friend are starting on Sunday. Our plans are slightly different but, due to being time poor, we are getting together Sunday arvo to have a cooking fest ready for the week. I am a little confused about the yogurt...What sort of yogurt do others have? My plan requests 175g natural yogurt...no brands specified. Also, I will ring my consultant, but I am a shift worker and I wondered what happens when I work night shift (no eating after 9pm)??? Cheers all!!! *water 2-3 litres

Hi everyone,

I'm a sort of newbie here. I completed the program back in 2005, lost 35kgs felt absolutley fantastic. The weight loss gave me the confidence to get a job, escape a very nasty marriage and get my life back on track, but, unfortunately, the pressure of the seperation and sale of our home etc, i turned to food as my comfort and have regained all the weight I lost....SO here I am again. Raring to go and get rid of the final baggage that remains. It's great to see that there are still some people here. Hopefully we can all give and get some support from each other and, hopefully you don't mind me joining in again.

Beck

Congratulations nomoreweighting, i wish you all the very best for your first week, may the power be with you... sorry bad joke, couldnt resist. im on day 10 no cheats but i didnt drink all my water i was about a litre short, hubby came off roster so i lost my focous a bit. im finding if i eat my dinner while i cook theres im less tempted to have a taste. about the yogurt i believe its not meant to have added sugar thats getting hard most are adding it even to the natural, we buy Margaret River natural yogurt usually stocked in coles, IGA, woolworths.
A big hello to rjm, i wish you all the very best on your goal, i hope we can be of some HELP.
I've decided that i am not deviating from my plan for anything, because as soon as i do i cant get back into the same mind set and im right back at my starting weight before i know it. well ill check back this evening , my bub is having a spack attack so i best sign off.

good luck to all and be strong.

Hi everyone and welcome

I have been absent for awhile but have been checking in to read everyones posts old and new. I also need to lose I would say about 10kg now but like Cate would be happy to shift those 5kg first. I have dallied with other programs but I know if I commit to Cohens again I can lose this weight without much drama....I did the first time successfully but for some reason I lost the plot and if I continue to do so I will be back at my intial pre-Cohens weight plus more.
So I also need to jump on the bandwagon with you all and get moving. I really need to get my head around when I will start I haven't planned this yet.....it will most likely be after i do my next grocery shop. I also need to exercise this time so I won't be weighing my foods. I've been visiting a Chiropractor for the last few weeks to fix my neck and back and she has recommended doing some walking now....last school term I was exercising 3 times a week and walking the kids to School but that all came to a sudden holt due my neck being extra aggravated by the boxercise. Anyway I won't bore you with too many details. I will check back once I have commenced.....so please send out positive thoughts my way get me started sooner rather than later.
Goodluck to us all.
Sam

Good luck getting back on track Sam, I wish I had gained control of myself a lot sooner than now then I would not be looking at losing another huge amount of weight again.
Thanks for the welcome Fifty2drop. I look forward to "chatting" with everyone here .

Well I am over my second day and just about to go to bed. I am feeling realling positive and so surprised that, so far, I haven't suffered any cravings. I felt a bit crappy yesterday but today have been fine but a little tired. So it's all systems go and I am looking forward to getting back into all those size 12 clothes I bought 2 years ago!!
Have a good night everyone. Talk to you all soon.

Beck

Hi every-one! It's my 55th birthday today & boy, do I feel every single one of them today. Too much grog, too much food.....too fat a belly!
I'm going to start back on the Cohen's program tomorrow but will ease my way into it by not weighing the food, but following the general guidelines. I need to exercise badly so will try this for one week & see what happens. I'll take it from there. Cheers, Cate.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Cate . Good to hear you have had a terrific day and have all your family with you. Good idea to ease your way back in and I hope you don't suffer too much tomorrow.

I am remembering why I love this diet so much. 3 days done and I feel terrific. No cravings, only a tiny bit hungry ( but a cup of hot tea is enough to satisify me) and down 2 kilos already. I know I'm only supposed to weigh once a month, but I am a compulsive weigher and find that the incredibly fast weight loss does nothing but inspire me. I also think the serotonin thing is starting to kick in because I am starting to get the " I can achieve anything" feeling back that I had when i completed Cohens the first time. I am so excited and my girls and I are happily planning what i can wear to my Christmas party this year as I will be skinny again!!!

Anyway have a great night everyone.
Talk to you all soon

Beck

Unhappy

Happy Birthday Cate!! Glad you had a fantastic day.

Well, its end of day 2 for me and I think I've had it pretty bad. HAd terrible cravings and headaches, bordering on a migraine these past 2 days. I've made sure I drink all my water, so I think its just me getting used to less food Only thing is I dont remember it being this difficult the first time

Anyway, RJM, I'm a bit like you..a compulsive weigher. It keeps me more motivated when I see the weight going down.

Anyway, good luck everyone!

You poor thing, ladydenning, Stick with it and keep up the water. You can take Panadol etc for the headaches which might help a bit. The only other thing if you are able is to go and crash out for a bit. I always imagine my water flushing out all the fat and washing it away. I was told the last time I did the diet that when your body loses toxins (fat) it can't get rid of those unless it has enough water to flush them out so until it loses the toxins already floating in the body it can't lose any more so I probably over estimate my water just in case anything is left!! sorry a bit of a ramble there.
Anyway hope you feel better today.

Have a great day everyone.
Talk to you soon

Beck

Hi again everyone,

I don't know if any of you use these clinics, but I just read on the other forum that the Bribie Island and Tamworth/Narrabri clinics have closed and that the WA clinic is taking over the contracts from these offices.
Not sure if this is of any use to you, but thought I would mention it.

Take care

Beck

Starting over after having a baby...

Hello everyone... let me reintroduce myself again...
I am 25 yrs old due to turn 26 next month! I started cohens in feb-march ish of 05. I was 132kgs and had been diagnosed with PCOS and told very little chance of my hubby and i having a child. After a very teary night we decided to join cohen together as he was 142kgs. He got down to 85kg and looked great and i got to 92kgs at my lowest. Then we discovered i was pregnant and told everyone in our families on mothers day last yr being i was9-10 weeks pregnant. I had to stop cohen asap and during my pregnancy put most of my weigh back on. We had our first baby on christmas eve at 11.59am all healthy and i was home intime to open presents and have a roast lunch!! I have now decided it is time to jump back onto the cohens bandwagon full time after many failed attemps to go it alone so too speak, i have come here for moral support in my many times of need. I am now 115.2kgs and i am to get to 70kgs but i am setting myself 5 kg goals... So People now you know my story and i hope to loose weight and gain a healthy lifestyle again!!

(if my ticker says something different it is because i haven't logged onto this site since 31/1/06....)

Tam

Hi Tams82,

CONGRATULATIONS on the baby. What a considerate little one to allow you home for Christmas!!

I remember you from my previous attempts. I have also put all my weight back on and it looks like we are starting again at nearly the same weight with the same goal weight. I tried to get back on numerous times in the last eighteen months, but was never successful, but this time I am really motivated. I don't know if it is because I am bigger than when I previously tried and as Cohens puts you into ketosis and burns fat the more fat you have to burn the easier it is!! Just a thought..

Oh, I almost forgot to ask, how is your husband going. Has he maintained his weight loss?

Anyway, welcome back and I look forward to chatting.

Take care

Beck
