Unhappy Confessions of a Deviant

Here I sit, in my brand new size 10 jeans which are still a little snug. All proud of myself for being able to wear them and what do I do? I cheated. I cooked one and a half rissoles and some extra tomato. plus two coconut macaroons today. I suppose out of 44 days its ok to have a bad one. I'm going to good again until sat when I have a 50th to go to - I won't be silly at that though, then after that its full steam ahead for my last eight kilos. I suppose the good thing is that I'm actually a bit too full - I'm now used to eating like a little person.

Have any of you guys deviated? please help me feel better!

hey there wannabeslim,
i think everyone of us has deviated at some point, because as someone said, this programme is not much of a social thing....I know I am gonna deviate on Wed, cuz I have an office lunch which I have to be at. And since it's at a chinese restaurant, I cant order anything that resembles a Cohen's meal. But I will stick to a Cohen's breakfast & dinner and make sure I dont fall off the wagon completely.
You fit in a size 10 pair of jeans! I'd love to be where you are right now....
Keep at it ok???

tasm82, welcome back & congrats on the baby. 5kg goals are a fantastic idea..helps when you break it down a little, then it doesnt seem so daunting...well, at least for me

and RJM, thanks so much for your encouragement....I think the headaches were caffeine related. I've had a coffee(no sugar & cream) today and the headaches have vanished!

I have a wopping 65kg to lose! thats huge huh? Today was my first day. I tried the programme before, had some success and then gave up. Here i am for the last time... i promise myself! Actually, i gave up smoking, gave up and here i am again. I am happy i dont smoke anymore.

One more habbit to break.

Eating badly.

So i need your help? Hope we can all chear each other on and lose the flab together. Really pisses me off at the moment, being so overweight. Cant walk, run. Even typing my own shoelace is a bit much.

I have the worst heart burn ever!

But i am happy to have got the fist day over and done with!

How do i get me one of those rulers? with the weightloss measurements? (i have not admitted my weight los to anyone in the world, so it is kindda libertaing to say out loud to you fellow "Cohenites" i weigh 125kg!

for the last time in my life!

Hope to get to know you all!

Hello everyone

hi all, after spending the last half hour typing a reply i managed to hit the back button and deleted every word... what a bright spark Iam today so here goes...

Fatgirl, hello.. ive had some funny names too one was fatgrl8me, o2bslimmer, 40kgs2go, oops what a give away thats an old one......heres the ticker info. click on some ones Ticker, it will take you to ticker factory.. then choose create own ticker, do all the hard work of creating and choosing once completed cut and paste your BB code into your signature... edit signature can be found under quick links at top of page. I wish you all the very best on your cohens journey and look forward to your postings . Ps i must admit the shoes lace thing it got to me too.. and you are allowed antacid too, but it will go away....

A big hello to tams82 and congratulations. I too, have restarted and restarted, i have watched many special occassions and dates go by without loosing weight and for some, have even gotten bigger. I have my 30th birthday, 10th wedding anniversary and my baby girls 1st birthday all in the last two weeks of september. I am determined to be alot smaller for all three... so i wish you luck and look forward to updates.

wannabeslim iam sooooo gREEEEEN a size 10 snug or not is a big achievement. you should be proud of yourself, and remember tomorrows another day. congrats.

Cate, Happy Birthday, i hope you had a great birthday and were able to enjoy your day.

im sorry for this post being so long, but i still have a confession, i sampled last night.. a half spoon of mash potatoe and about a teaspoon of pork roast, it smelt so good and i tried everything but after smelling it all arvo in the oven... i couldnt resist.. i was suprised though instead of feeling all warm and yummy and making me happy it didnt give me that sensation at all so now the leftovers are safe in my fridge.

to every one else good luck, be strong and stay positive, we can do it... may the force be with you...

look forward to reading your posts tomorrow..

Hi everyone,

Fatgirl, welcome and good luck. Day 1 is done so now you never have to complete that again. Congratulations. When I first started Cohens I found it very liberating to tell everyone on here my true weight too. After years of lying about what I weighed and underestimating by about 20kgs, it was great to finally be able to say it (to myself as much as anyone else). I also have trouble with the shoe lace thing. It's a bit embarrassing if anyone is watching you try to do up your shoelace. Grab hold of the ankle, try to bend your leg up far enough to get your shoe and then puff and pant and nearly suffocate yourself trying to bend down far enough to reach your feet!! Not for very much longer though
wannabeslim I don't think your name is very appropriate any more.!! It sounds like you need to change it yesimadeit or superslim. Size 10 is fantastic and only 8 kgs to go is great. Well done I can't wait to be where you are!!
Fifty2drop I have also deleted posts many times. It is soooo annoying. A small sample won't hurt too much. I find when on Cohens that food smells terrific, but that smelling is almost as good as eating it. When I completed Cohens last time, someone suggested that every time you really feel like eating something you write it on a list and keep that list so you can have some of these things when you finish. I did this and it helped me feel less deprived as the list kind of reminded me that there was an end to the program and then when I did finish and ate some of the things on the list they really didn't appeal to me any more. My tastes totally changed (unfortunately I changed them back again and got back to here!!)
ladydenning good to hear the headaches have gone and you are feeling bettter.

Take care everyone. Have a great day.

Beck

Hi all,

I am on day 3 of Cohens as I sip my decaf coffee. To ladydenning, I also had a terrible headache which wasn't touched by panadol or nurofen, but today I have mecifully awoken without it. I believe also that it is a lack of caffeine.

To Fifty2go, thanks for the instructions for the ticker but I am still have trouble, it told me it was invalid....I so love computers.

I am pleased to see so many people in this group for the support. Cate, I have been reading a few pages of your diary every day, this is giving me some inspiration. Home by myself today with about a months worth of washing and housework, so I am finding today a little more difficult. As with most addictions, I find that when I am alone is when I eat the most.

Take care, stay focused and thanks for all the great support and motivation.

A big hi to every-one. Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Please excuse me not replying personally. I just popped in for a quick look & was really excited & happy to see so much activity. It's great knowing that Cohen's does work & that we can become slim. I think we must remain ever-vigilant for the rest of our lives. I know I never want to be fat ever again & I also know that if I go back to old, bad habits it would happen. Cheers to all & keep up the support. It's important to me to have that support & if I can provide any inspiration or encouragement to anyone I am really happy to be able to do so. Cheers for now, Cate

Ahoy there Captain

Hi guys. Hope you are all flying high with this Cohen way of life! Me personally. Today is day two. I a happy. However, the hearburn was so bad again today that i spared a thought for all the oxins that were stored in my tummy and how they are now causing volcanic eruptions in there. My chemist (who is otherwise a lovely man) thought it is angina! thats all i need! So i punched him. Stick your Angina. I am losing weight i said in return! Now hand me those Zantacs!

Fifty2drop - Thanks for the ticker story. This beaver cant find the signature part. So i gave up tonight. Will try again tomorrow! You have already lost 10% of your weight loss total! is that not just fabulous! I hope my first week is a success too!

RJM - hello to you too! Hopefully my hunger will subside soon. How are you going?

Is anyone meeting with anyone for follow up checks? The clinc i go to are as useless as an avocado peeler (avocado yummmmmm).

Chat soon guys xxxxx

Hi everyone,

fatgirl hello back, thanks. I hope your hunger goes soon. Make sure you are sticking to it 100% and you should be "in the zone" soon. For the ticker: Click on anyones ticker and this will take you to the ticker factory. Here you compose your ticker. Then you copy the BB Code. Go back to the forum and in the top left hand corner you will see User CP. Click on this and then you will see Edit Signature. Paste into here and save and your ticker should be up and running.
Cate it is lovely to have so many people here, isn't it? I know I must remain vigilant for the rest of my life, a bit like my smoking. i gave that up 8 years ago and still know i can never have another one or I would start again. I hope that any post cohenites learn from my lesson and don't relax their eating habits because it is amazing how quickly it can go back on again.
nomoreweighting and ans_ans welcome and stick with it you won't be disappointed.
I am down another .5 kg this morning which makes 3.5 kgs in 5 days. It's so encouraging that the weight always comes off so quickly in the first week!!
I'd better go as I just invited my sister over to dinner and the house is a mess.

Take care
Beck

fatgirl- You made me laugh! Ahoy there captain? I love the light-heartedness that's come into the forum. I think you've brought it with you! Cheers, Cate
Beck- I did relax my eating habits & that was a mistake. I don't know why I thought I was 6ft tall & bulletproof (or fat-proof!) It's nice having you back, cheers, Cate
The forum is fun at the moment. I'm sorry that I didn't address everyone as I like to last night. I was in a bit of a hurry & it took me by surprise. I hope you don't think I was rude! Cheers & happy losing, Cate.
P.S. Nothing tastes as good as slim feels.

Thankyou RMJ

RMJ... thankyou for your welcome... To answer you hubby has put 20 back on as he looked really to thin (I know what you all will be thinking but he got to 82 kgs and he started to look really withdrawn and sunken) But he looks good now... He is also thinking of redoing cohens... we will wait and see!

I have lost 2 kgs in a day or so so it really starts the motivation thing happening again!!

Well keep up the good work peoples!

Tam

Hi guys

Hi Guys,

I'm having such a hard week with it all. I'm a baker and I keep sampling my food!!!

I have a party to go to on sat then on sunday I'm placing a total ban on baking for a couple of weeks - I was able before not to sample my food. I know I can get back on the wagon if I don't completely fall off.

I have been cooking up lean sausage mince which is a bit naughty as it has some rice meal in it, and I've been having tuna in an oil blend - I drain it though. Plain is just gross.

Sunday I will do everything by the book and lose another 8 kilos!

Will you guys help me?

wannabeslim I feel for you. I do a bit of catering on the weekend and it is so difficult to not taste everything just to make sure it tastes ok. Being a baker would be even worse. That smell of everything cooking would kill me!!!
Tasm82 soundss like your husband knows what he is doing. I agree that 82kgs is probably a bit small for a man. Awesome weight loss.
Cate you made me laugh with the 6ft tall and bulletproof. It reminded me of our little dog who is half jack russell and half shi-tzu. She has those exact thoughts about herself and chases german shepherds, dobermans or any other dog she sees and nips at their heels as if they should be scared of her. I pictured all us Cohenites running down the street nipping at the heels of lots of skinny girls!! Sorry a bit off track but thats what came to mind.

I am still going well but a bit hungry today. I missed my crackers for breakfast as I ran out so I'll have to go to the shop and get some more.

Take care

Beck

Hello all,

Just updating my ticker. I know I'm only supposed to weigh every month, but I need some visual feedback. So not very exciting results, but some loss is better than no loss!!! I'm glad everyone is doing so well.
