Micro-Omelette

Hi All

Thanks for your welcoming words

Anywho, when I was making brekky at 4am this morning, being the lazy/smart woman that I am, I decided to use the microwave, instead of the frypan to cook my egg (after I saw that's what they do at Subway), so i beat the egg until combined, added my tomato, shallot and pepper, then microwaved it for 90 secs. It was fantastic. I only used a small bowl, so it was about 10cm round. I think anything bigger might dry it out too much.

so thanks to Eleni's advice, I might alternate between and egg and yoghurt for brekky each morning.

And I had no problems being hungry after I came home from work, I was so tired I didn't eat lunch until 11.30, so now I can have a 'normal time' dinner.

now, I know i'm not supposed to, but I did weigh myself this morning, and there was no change AT ALL, in fact, it'd gone UP. Then I realised I'd forgotten to go to the loo, and after doing so, there was nearly a 1.5kg drop in the numbers. Bizarre that water can weigh so much (sorry for any bad mental images just then)

Myshy, I just realised that I haven't even wanted a fry, which is weird, cos I normally get told off for eating my man's fries after I've scoffed mine down.

Just wondering if anyone else who abhors the very unhealthy diet drinks has an alternative to consume while on the program? I love water, that's not an issue but I'm a big milk drinker and not being able to have it for a while leaves a huge vacuum space I'd like to fill with something on the list.

It is always so amazing how many posts happen within a week! I usually would read back through but there are over 20 pages and I just would never catch up!

I am happy to report that I have acheived my second goal and I am now working on my third!

My daughter and I took beginning photos and took photos at the four week mark. I had printed some off to compare and my 10 year old son came in and saw them. His mouth dropped open and he yelled "You're shrinking! Hey everybody! Come look at Mom's pictures - SHE's SHRINKING!" It was a cool moment!

Keep up the good work everyone!! This is my crazy time of year - 7 birthdays and 2 holidays all in a few weeks - whew! I will check back as often as I can - at least with new tickertape updates!

Hi Everyone,
Just a quickie because I have to get back out on the road. I have mountains and mountains of displays to do today and I am only half way through.
I nearly passed out in two of my stores today - not a good look. It's now 5.30pm and I haven't eaten since 8.30am. Needless to say I can't be bothered cooking - bought my kids kfc and I ate 1 wing (no skin) and 2 mouthfuls of coleslaw. My tummy already hates me and I'll probably pay for it this evening.
I've been caught out big time today. Didn't think my displays would take me as long as they have - but goddammit they have. On top of that I managed to staple through a can of Red Bull and it went EVERYWHERE. Not once......but twice.
If anyone's hanging around the ringroad tonight - I'll be the lady booting the displays. Don't bring your kids cos I will probably be swearing at them too. I'm over them.

On the upside - my car is full of chocolate and I haven't eaten any.

Mrsmc - I add half an eggshell of water to my omlette when I am mixing it. It gives it a little more bulk.

I also dislike soft drinks, and despise diet soft drinks!! I really only drink water normally. I do have sparkling water when I'm out at dinners etc, cause then at least it looks like I'm drinking something different.
I do occassionally have diet sprite, blended with fruit as an after dinner snack. Sometimes I freeze it to approximate ice cream.
But apart from the sparkling variety, I really only drink water.
are you having yoghurt for breakfast - I find that satisfies my hunger for diary products.

Hi to all the new cohens

Its great to read everyone success stories and even their highs and lows. We are all here for the same reason so support is super important. Good luck to everyone.

I had my first weigh in yesterday (4 weeks) and to my excitement I have lost 13kg. Pretty happy with that. They didnt have any scales at the surgery where the blood test was done and they wouldnt get any out of the dr's rooms for me so I went and bought a set and they didnt work. So I was so disapointed I really wanted to weigh before I ate again so I went around to my mums and used her scales and there you have it.

Wildskyz, Breiziel, Living it I think we are all at the same stage. Look forward to keeping up the comparisons and what you are all doing etc.

thanks for that heavenly lamb... oo I like the idea of the ice cream approximate yummmmm and it'd be in such small quantities the crap in the diet sprite would be mininimal I guess. Yep alternating egg and yoghurt brekkies.

wow jools 13kg in one month YOU GO GIRL.. that'll be me in 26 days time lol

Hey Leni, Thanks for that info! I have yoghurt almost every morning, I use the JALNA Fat free, and I mix a few hermesetas tablets into it, it's really yum, and I'm VERY used to it.

Hiya Pink,

It's everything, but, the REAL rule is not to eat within 2 hours of going to bed. I find it FAR too hard to eat my supper (usually an apple and 2 little squares of salada) before 9 so I've altered it to 9.30, but then I never get to bed before midnight and usually not before 1 or 2 am. I know, I'm naughty, but I just get so much done in the evenings on the computer...

Just make bloody sure that if you find out you SHARE THE INFO WITH US!!! hehe

I've lost most off my boobs and my waist (boobs gone from a tight 22DD/E to an easy 18D) I really need to move more off my thighs and especially my calves.

I can't believe I've lost 45kg in 4 months.

Only another 45 to go...

Angry Breaker Breaker

Hi Everyone

Welcome to all the newbies. May your journey be wonderful!

OK - so i am on this Cohens and starting to really get tempted.....
Really worried about something at the moment and its taken affect on me...So much that i could not bring myself to eat..... And this mroning i had actually put weight on!

Even more is the fact that i might be flying out this week and will not be able to control what i eat.... WHAT DOES EVERYONE EAT WHEN THEY ARE AWAY?

Myshy - where do you live..... i want to steal your car.

Briezel and Wildsky - that loss is amazing. Are you starting to feel lighter? I am not. Probably because i am a person who can carry weight really well so i look more solid than fat? But just wondering how you are going. I am really pissed off with my clinic because they will not return calls and i can not even make an appointment to have my weigh in. How crap is that? if i have not heard back from them by tomorrow, i am going to write them a nasty email and send it. Did not want to do that, but it has been a week and still no one gives a toss to call me back to make an appointmnet - something i paid for! sorry guys.... just really pissed at the moment. so much for the support!

Jools- hows the leg? We are in the same boat. How are you going?

on the question of eating after 9.... i usually dont get to bed till 4 or 5 and always eat at 1.00am? it does not seem to affect me too much?

Ok- chat later.
have a great day and shoping night!

Red face it's been a while

Hi everyone

I was posting way back - way way way back. Fell off bigtime (lost 35kg orginally gained 20kg)

I really need to do this, and when I was posting and following everyones journey, it really helped. We all know what we are going through.

So hi again to the oldies (there's a few I recognise) hey to the newbies - I'm looking forward to sharing the good and the bad with you all!

Will sort out my ticker and reveal my dreaded numbers when I'm a little more awake.

x

New to Cohen's

I just began my program on Monday. I have 80 lbs to lose and have lost 8 so far! I am drinking 3 liters per day of water and feel like I am floating all day long and getting up several times in the night.

Can someone help me with the ticker factory? I am having trouble pasting it to my signature.

Also, is the refeed only provided with the program if you reach the goal they set in 12 weeks?

Thanks to all for these encouraging posts. I have been very inspired already!

Hi Everyone,
I'm aching all over this morning. I didn't finish my displays until 10pm last night. Was too tired to eat when I got home and did not have anything in reserve. No support at home either, so I just fell into bed tired and hungry. I'm up 400grams today.

Anyway....back at this morning.

MelissaAnn - Welcome! Your bladder will adjust. At first it seems as if you are on the loo every 5 minutes but it does get better!

Hope you all see some numbers dropping!

Mysh

LOL@ living it! I have enough chocolate to set you back a YEAR!

Hi Melissa Ann, Welcome!

Click on anyone's ticker and it'll take you to the ticker factory, follow the instructions to set your ticker up, and then paste it into your signature. (Use the BBCODE) one not the HTML one.

I'll do a post later today about how to do it, with pictures, if you can't work it out, wait till later and I'll post.

RE: The refeed, you need to discuss that with your clinic.

You'll get past the floating feeling, it does settle down. Promise.

Living It, I go away quite often. I think in the 4 months I've been on the programme, I have been away from home between 4-6 weeks of it.

I have NO problems whatsoever (other than time issues if I'm catching planes). It just takes some organisation. I guess it really depends on how much you want to be thin and healthy.

I assess what I'm going to be doing the next day, and plan accordingly. If I'm going out for lunch with people, I ALWAYS order a greek salad with chicken. I ask how many grams of chicken are in the salad (trust me, the chef will know) and ask him to adjust it to my requirements. I usually don't muck around with the salad quantities, I guestimate when it gets there. I'm pretty good with quantities. Last Sunday i had lunch with a friend, and asked to speak with the chef, as there was nothing on the menu that 'fit' me. I asked what salads he had, He threw some lettuce, cucumber, tomato and red onion on a plate, and grilled me 95g of chicken, which he put on top. NO problems.

When we're travelling, I always make my lunch before I go out every morning. I bought myself a lunch box, and I can pack a salad, can of soft drink, fork, and ice brick into it. I take it and that way, if I need it I have it. Occasionally I've found myself in a restaurant (see above) unexpectedly for lunch, and my 'made lunch' hasn't been required, but at least I wouldn't find myself WITHOUT something decent to eat. I also take some salada and apples.

If you're going away for a day or two, buy a few tubs of yoghurt, you can get 200g tubs, my yoghurt allowance is 175g, so I just toss a desertspoon out, and eat the rest, easy brekkies.

It's all do-able, it just depends how big a problem you want to make out of it (if that makes sense). If you want to be a martyr and say "I couldn't stick to it because I HAD to eat the cream cakes" then you'll stuff yourself up whatever the excuse. If you REALLY want to do it, then do it.

You know, Yoda's principle, I've said it before.

Do, or do not, there is no try.

asy

(NOT saying you will be a martyr, etc, just talking generally!!!)

Myshy,

Why don't you try keeping a box of salada and a bag of apples in your car?

Would that help? Then at least you could have your snacks at the right times and it would make you more regular with food.

Hi asyoz

great words of advice!! I have a wedding to go to in palm cove, 4 days away in tropical paradise and was wondering what the hell I was going to do. But as you say with a little bit of planning there are no excuses! You will do it if you really want to do it! DON'T TAKE THE EASY OPTION!! Stick with it!

cheers
