Glad to hear things are better. Thanks again for your congrats in the other thread. Yes your right about reading the manual a few times their are always bits that need clarifying or things you miss, for instance when I visited my clinic today I queried my consultant about garlic it wasn't in my vegie allowance but actually comes under herbs so now I can have some. We don't have alot of choice so you know every bit counts. ATB Sam

Rep Power: 0 | | | Hi Sam - Yes every little bit does count for sure! Did they mean the powdered garlic? I am not allowed fresh, bummer!
Well the scales moved again this morning so I am thrilled, lost another 800g, so I am the lightest I have been since about 2004, yayyy! My little one slept through again, so I am feeling great!

Rep Power: 0 | | | A total of 8kgs lost, woo hoo, I am so happy. I had grapefruit yesterday with my yoghurt and I felt really hungry and crav-y afterwards, so will be avoiding that like the plague. This morning had a peach and it was lovely. Have written to my consultant about finding a boneless fish alternative that my son can eat, sick of cooking 3 different meals.
Oh well onwards and downwards (hopefully!)

Fresh tuna steak is great and for your son grilled (for you and him) but for him finally add some soy sauce and a little brown sugar sauce served on a bed of rice would be great.
It always amazes me that Australian kids have such a problem with bones in fish, whilst Japanese kids just simply dont "some fish have bones dont eat the bones, pick them out before you eat it". Maybe it is a knife and fork thing, armed with a knife and fork there is not much you can do to remove fish bones whereas with armed with o-hashi (chop-sticks) it is an easy task to pick bones away.

Thanks for the tuna suggestion, Lessfatty, I am going to try that one next week. The kids version sounds yummy, oh well *sigh*, one day - for me
Ben is only 3 going on 4, so he is not even that skilled with the knife and fork yet!!! I would like him to use chopsticks as well (we love all Asian food and have travelled to China with him) but I think he is too young? When do they learn to use them in Japan? I just cant picture him manipulating tiny bones out of his fish with "o-hashi"
Hey lost4eva, I plan on putting my photos up when I hit the 10 kilo mark! I am only 800g from that, so not too long. Hows it going with you, did you recieve your kit yet? Good luck!
Well the last couple of days have been really great, quite a breeze with no cravings or hunger. In a couple of days I will have been on Cohens a month. Very hard for me to believe as I was so hungry and irritable for the first week. Then I had my big blowout and thought that I would never get back into it. Just goes to show how good the program is, I finally think I have got into the Cohen groove
The only thing that I am really getting scared about is that holiday in a month. I am more worried cause I dont know if I will be able to buy fresh fruit and veggies. May have to rely on the hotel. I am thinking if the worst comes to the worst I can do up a list of salad veggies and say that I want this is as a salad with grilled something?
Anyway, heres to a powering on week where I hope I reach my first goal!!!!!

Rep Power: 0 | | Well I am really tired today, my bubba has a bit of constipation so she is very unsettled. Straight away I start eyeing off a cake I made the other day with my son (and didnt even think about licking the spoon) and now everytime I was walking past it, it was beckoning. Sooo I chucked it in the bin! Sounds crazy I know, but I cant trust myself when I am this tired. Also if the truth is known, I am the cake fiend in this house, my son tries a tiny bit then is over it and my hubby doesnt even really like cake! no more baking for me for a while! I am going to make something really nice (Cohens of course) for my lunch so I dont feel deprived.
Happy struggles to everyone!

How has the rest of your day been. It's funny how we turn to food for comfort it really takes alot of will power to resist. How is your little one feeling? I'm trying to remember what I gave my kids for constipation when they were babies - prune juice was one method. I will try and wrack my brains and get back to you. When I am tired and grave something yummy I have the mozzerella I love that with vegies. Take care look forward to hearing back about your day. Sam

Well I got through yesterday and managed to get a good nights sleep, so I am feeling much better, thanks for asking! I ended up giving my bubba water before each feed and eventually she went yayyy (never thought I would be celebrating over baby poo, lol!!!!) mmm Im gonna try the mozarella with cauli today, do you grill it or microwave it? Hope you are going really well!
Well my loss has stalled over the last couple of days - not that I am worried and I am not going to let it get to me as I am only really meant to be weighing monthly anyway!!! However I think it may be from having the same thing every day, so I am going to mix it up a bit today and see how I go. Plus I am really going to concentrate on my water, I have on been doing about 1.5 litres.
This is what I had yesterday:
B: Yoghurt, pawpaw
2 crackers
L. Tuna, mayo, tomato, cucumber from allowance, paprika, garlic powder
snack 1 cracker, peach
D. Chicken mince, zuccini made into a rissole, curry powder, mushrooms from allowance
2 crackers, peach
Today:
B. Egg, tomato and mushroom. 2 crackers. Honeydew melon.
then I plan on having the Mozarella and cauli for lunch, fish for dinner...
Wish me good luck!

Glad your little one is better and you slept. Definitely increase your water that is the key to flushing out the toxins and fat so make sure you get your 3 liters in I have a measuring jug and that keeps me on track so that I know exactly what I am getting.
With regards to Mozarella I am too lazy to grill and I haven't tried microwaving (don't know why).
I actulally dry fry my vegies in a non stick pot/pan then add my moz and combine the whole lot then put it on my cracker allowance. It is so Yummy taste like pizza. I have the jamie oliver pots and they are the best you do not have to add oils/sprays and it wipes clean.
Let me know how it goes and have a great day.
Sam

Good to hear bubs is ok. i think i used to give madi water when she was constipated, well at the time i thought she was but i was then told that bubs can go a fair few days without going, don't know but do know the extra water got things moving.
As for the cheese, i can only stomach it cold, not sure why but i love it on crackers and have a salad with it. yummy. i tried having it with vegies but found there was to much cheese for the vegies, not sure maybe it's just me cause everyone else seems to love it.
good luck di
