Another thing I do with my kids is I showed them how much I was losing - we put dog food tins in shopping bags to show them how MUCH it felt like. Now I have the problem that I have lost my entire 5 year old daughter (I promise I don't put her in shopping bags)....It was a great visual for the kids and made me feel pretty good too ( for the record I am now at 14 of the biggest tins of dog food you can get)
Best of luck with your dad

Well the last 2 days haven't been so good I seemed to get a gastro like virus from my girls so I haven't eaten a thing for 2 days. I am hoping that by tomorrow I will feel ok to get back to it. I know by the scales I haven't lost much this week, but that is ok I really didn't expect much with being sick. Hopefully I will have a much better week this week.
Thanks Bee for your comments they do all make the world of difference. It is so great that there are such supportive people on here.
Cheers
Jodee

Hope it pass's quickly (no pun intended) it's the worst thing when you have your heart set on a diet and then you fall ill.
Just focus on getting over this before restarting.
All the best.

Rep Power: 0 | | | Hi All Hi guys well yes I am doing fine now the bug didn't last long, but I found that the week after I was sick I didn't lose at all . (must have been my body righting itself again) But am now back on track. It was my bubs birthday yesterday and we had a big party. I am so proud of myself I ate my cohens food allowance and the only slip up was trying some icing from the cake I made , I also don't think I drank enough water so I am feeling the effects today. The day was a great success and everyone had a great time. Thanks everyone for your great support Yay I am nearly at the 10kg mark I hope to be there soon!!! I am taking this seriously I really want this weight to come off forever now!! and maybe then I can think about the other baby I would love to have. Love to all with extremely skinny thoughts.
Everyone is doing really well!!
Jodee

Rep Power: 0 | | Jodee, I found my weight loss had slowed down alot and I figured out that I wasnt doing enough water...apparently there isnt enough time in a day to consume the numerous litres we have too . Well done at the party hmm icing I hate icing but atm it would taste pretty good I have my littel ones 2 birthday next week so I will not surcumb to the temptation.
Well done that 10 is right within your reach

Rep Power: 0 | | The verdict after week 4 Well guys after my 4th week I have now lost a total of 9kg. I was hoping it could be 10 but the week I was sick I didn't lose anything so I am thinking that was probably the reason. I am now trying to keep up my water intake as much as I can.
I had my 7th wedding anniversary yesterday(well it is actually on the 29th got married in a leap year!) I did have 2 choccies from a box of choccies I had sitting in my fridge. Minor yes but I still did it... I am suffering from that time of the month syndrome, so therefore I just want to fall back into my old bad patterns and eat chocolate and lots of it!!!! I am trying my hardest. Tonight I made hubby and my two bigger girls eat what was left so there is no temptation at all in my house. I am trying my hardest for the next 4 weeks. My hubby's birthday is on the 12th May and I really want to be below 100 by then.
Everyone now says they notice now that I am losing but I still see me! Yes maybe the clothes fit a bit better or are loser, but I don't know maybe I am expecting so much. I remember when I was on Cohen's the first time I felt like it just fell off and that it happened all so quickly, but looking back in my measurements and weights I realise I am losing better now than I did then. I can't wait until my birthday in September I will be 28 and hopefully at my goal weight or smaller. I am giving myself the best chance I can and I am just looking at it each week as it comes. I think I really better put the scales away now, it is beginning to bug me. And I know it will all come off.
BTW don't get extra light ricotta it is awful I tried it today and threw it in the bin. It tasted as though I was seriously eating cardboard smooshed up!! I better go and get my slimming sleep so thanks to everyone for your support and I hope you still keep those thoughts and ideas comming. We are all in this same boat and we are all fighting to get there together!!!
Thanks and skinny thoughts
Jodee

Rep Power: 0 | | | all is going well!! Hi guys just thought I'd say I am still travelling fine 5 and a bit weeks into it an I am still going ok. My weight plateaued this week but I did lose 16 cm so as long as those cms keep comming off I am happy!! I am hoping everyone else here is doing really well. Here in Perth it has been extremely hot and today at 27 it was georgeous weather. I really think that the heat plays havoc with weightloss and fluid retention. I am wondering if any of you feel the same? It is really quite funny this Sunday comming we are going out for lunch to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary. Friends of ours are going too as their anniversary is around the same time. Feb must be a good month for weddings!! Now I have been stressing all week about this, for the reason that while it has all been paid for I don't want to offend anyone by not eating the meal, I am just worried about not being able to have the choice to eat something sensible. I am thinking that if I just order a salad, with a small piece of chicken or steak, I should be fine, then just guage the size with what I normally eat. It is either that or just not go. I am really stuck. I know I won't deviate as it has been too long to ruin it now, but I just don't want to do anything that will put me behind. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it very much..
Thanks
Jodee

When I had to go out for my birthday I went the fish and salad, I didnt eat the skin cause they had grilled it in something good lol .
I spoke to my consultant and she said that was prob the best way to go I have a big seafood allowance and it would generally be a size of a rest size meal fishy.
Good luck hope you have a great night
Bee
