Lightbulb Is Cohens right for me?

Hello all!
I'm new here... I'm an 18 year old female, weighing in at 141 lbs. (approx. 64 kilos) at a height of 5'9". My waist is measured at about 30 inches around. I am not that overweight- my goal being to loose somewhere from 10-20 lbs (4-9 kg).

I have always been self-concious about my weight (mainly my poochy stomach) and go to the gym at least 3 times a week to do biking and crunches, ect. I am finding, however, that this does not seem to be helping and I know that it is because of how I eat.

Some days I might not eat too too much (small portions of healthy snacks throughout the day) but then will ruin it later with a trip to McDonalds... My usual troubles are eating socially and eating at night.

I have read on here that Cohens has helped alot of you loose a substantial amount of weight and I am wondering whether my small amount goal would make me a candidate for Cohens.

Thanks and I look foward to hearing your replies

Hi Kiwi,
I have just began to follow the Cohen's lifestyle. I have to tell you that tomorrow will be one week and my scale already says I have lost 6.6 pounds.
If you can justify spending the start up cost, maybe you could try the plan.
You dont seem to want to lose too much so you may not want to spend the $249. to get started. I can understand that. I would probably not do this for just 10 pounds. But then again if I did awhile back I may not have to lose 35 pounds. LOL
Sounds like you have the same issues everybody else does. Who doesn't enjoy a social outing with a few drinks and some good eats. I know I do!
What has been most shocking to me is that I do feel satisfied with the smaller portions I am eating. When it is the right foods in the right amounts the body seems to have its own way of balancing out.
Whatever you do decide good luck. If I can answer any other ?'s I would be hgappy to. I have only been doing this for a week now but I have been reading a lot about this plan & it is amazing how the people I know doing it have lost so much weight & just really learned how to eat properly.

I don't think you'll be eligible

Hi Kiwifixx

I don't think you'll be eligible to do plan. But to be certain you will need to check for yourself with a clinic. Now the reason I say this is because I am 5'7and my goal weight with Cohens was 65kg.

I have just checked you height to weight ratio and yours is in the healthy weight range if you lose any more you wil be categorised as underweight.

All the best

Sam
